Ret paladin or WW monk for a safe pve/pvp (mostly pve) experience?

Those two specs are, by far, the dps specs I enjoy playing the most in the game. I just really, really like them in their current iteration. I also happen to like protection and brewmaster (although I prefer brewmaster on average), so that’s good.

I’m kinda concerned when it comes to the long-term viability of these two classes/specs in pve, as they’re hybrid, and if you’re bad well…you’re bad, you know how it is.

What would you guys advise me to do if I wanted to be safe? Can I just simply pick one of these two without worrying too much about it, or are there some things I should be worried about.

Thank you very much, looking forward to reading your comments !

NB:

-I’m not really interested in MW or holy tbh, at least not right now. Healing is a tedious thing, much more than dpsing or tanking.

-I did mention pvp, BUT it’s important to mention that I’m going to focus on pve significantly more. PVP will be a side thing honestly.

I think most (if not all dps) spec are fine PvE, pick what you want.

Well I usually like to think like that, but the funny thing (if one can call it “funny”) is that, even at lower levels of pve content, a lot of people have some bias regarding certain specs, wanting to min max even though it’s not mythic. See what I mean?

Dealing with this kind of bias is always annoying imo.

U have harder time as meele compared to ranged imo.

But, if u have to choose from those two, ill go with monk, he is somehow in better position when it comes to comunity perception and also brings a meele dmg buff.

But its not like one is meta and the other isnt so its realy up to you
