Im doing mythic+ raid and pvp. Mostly pvp atm
DH ! Blizzard said they want DH being good, whereas ret has been trash tier since Tomb of Sargeras. Not to mention DH’s utility is miles ahead than ret’s.
But havoc is getting rekt in pvp =/

Ret pally is going to get destoyed, as usually so ret pally is going to suck both in PVE and PVP, whereas DH is only getting better.
dunno what pvp you are doing, 2s, 3s or rbgs or just bgs?
for m+ neither one will get you invited cause (i) they both melee (ii) you’re not a mage or a hunter or a boomie 
But in general both will work just depends do you like pressing “1 button” or “2”.
2s -> currently def ret
3s -> again ret
rbgs bgs -> you can go whatever … go dh if you like to snipe ppl from 50y with hunt
p.s. blizzard is currently in some weird place where they will incidentally turn dh into a dot spec in m+, they are buffing a leggo which increases the immo dmg when the target is hit by demons bite…so it could possibly mean youll have to go around demon biting mobs so keep that in mind…doesnt sound very fun imo
Go Retri for pvp Havoc is not durable or bursty enough, even hunt is nothing compared to retri.
You need burst or you are not killing any casters since they are also S tier healers.
