Aye, the friends haven’t been playing PvP this season really, so I have not been able to do as much 2’s or 3’s as I would like, so I started doing a few solo shuffles but got bored of the queue times and stopped.
they all need toning down including ret but demo is just as dumb op as ret right now maybe even more op
wtf. ret is now highest pop specc above 2.4k with a whopping 70% higher representation then the second highest specc.
escelated even harder then i thought.
gz to all the plebs who were unable to break 2.1 on any other specc and got their free elite.

I just realised just how tiny the PvP playerbase is. There are literally 15-20 guys on the forums complaining about Ret Paladins in PvP, another 10-15 rets defending the spec, which is also in the grand scheme of things a tiny part of the entire playerbase.
For example, by being 2450 on ret, which I just picked up and I’m trash at, there are 950 rets above me or so in EU. I would assume maybe the top 500 rets are any decent at the class.
This game used to have 10-12 milion players. Dont know the current numbers, but how do 500 good ret players manage to ruin a game played by millions others. I can’t even understand. Because the rets beneath those should be easy to beat.
Like, at 2k mmr I met backpaddling rets who bubbled at full hp at start just to use their wings freely into a full defensive ready team and with no dampening. Even with a broken class, how can these Apes cause you any trouble?

yes this is what happens when classes hardcounter others on top of being overtuned, surely you’ve felt this before too when playing into counters that also happen to be overtuned before.
cant even count how many times in shadowlands when I played disc that I died through my whole spellbook in 1 go vs ww dks and TSG when they do that same strat you described pressing defensives in opener to avoid CC while having the best kind of “I win” buttons against my class

Wow Arena is in the same situation right now you see 2 groups of caveman fighting in the middle of the arena until someone dies, or decides to commit suicide.

So was rogue since shadowlands began. So was warrior midway through DF. But suddenly ret becomes good and every1 panicks. Cringe tbh
how is ret ur only specc at 2.4? ur other classes aint close with double the games.

and ye that 2.4 as ret is rank 1000 speaks volumes. as uhdk for example ur place 200 or sth.

like u dont get the point. the comparison is between overtuned best melee in game and a tier specc.
ofc i couldve rerolled ret as well to be 2.4 with it after 5 lobbys.
Same goes for rmp the rating improve from the average rmp was 1200 cr in sl s1 means if u were 1800 u were a 3k rmp at the end of sl s1 csuse firemage combust was broken first 6 weeks

Because I haven’t pushed seriously on the others. Most of the games are from the first 2-3 weeks of the expansion. I played without addons and whatever. On unholy I pushed from 1600 to 2100 in 2 days after setting up my addons and macros. I was going for 2400 on it before they swapped unholy blight and the ret fiasco and lost interest in playing a nerfed spec.
But I still managed to push 4 specs over 1800, and 2 specs over 2100, while not having much or any pvp experience on them.
On fury I was also rank 200 or something at 2k when there was like 5 fury wars above 2400.
And OFC stating the obvious, RET is OP. In what post did I deny it?
Not just the PvP player base. It’s the same thing on other parts of the forum. WoW player base has just shriveled up like a raisin. So all you have is like some odd 20 to 30 regulars going at each other everywhere.
ye thats all just talk. fact is ur ret is hundreds of rating higher then ur other speccs with half the games.
and its to no surprise. ret currently outperform most speccs by simply holding down w key.
that u ask people how they can struggle against bad ret’s when ret enabled u to a free 2.4 is comical.
