Hello,

Hello,

Two pots in as many minutes on how wonderful Retail is. Foor once I’m goin to say it: Just stay in Retail, please, and let Wath be Wrath.
It’s not “Wrath” anymore. They already changed stuff like:
Removing RDF.
Removing Quest Helper.
Adding Group Finder.
Changing how emblems work.
Increasing raid difficulty.
etc
I don’t see why you should be against simple UX (User Experience) improvements. Everyone knows that you can’t use auction house without addons. And these addons lag a lot not only in client but server too. So what reason do you have to be against it?
The only people that I know that could be against it are monopolistic goblins (like me), who try to manipulate the silly rules in their own favor to scam noobish players that are too dumb to notice or too lazy to care.
Most healthy servers have immense lag because of this AH during peak playtime. Why not improve this experience? Please give me a real reason and not only “no changes” mentality. I love this game and would love to see it become better.
P.S. If there was a retail version of wotlk. I would really like to try it out.
Classic Vanilla was awesome experience for me. But I always disliked the “no changes” policy. It could have been so much better with some simple moderation. Everyone knows that.
Lol, you obviusly don’t know what you are talking about.
Retail AH works different. You literally never get message item sold or not found.
I tried it - and hated it. Just give a seller instead already, then at least no crap players get my G,
It doesnt necessarily has to be exact copy of retail AH, same like we didnt get retail group finding tool …
But allow us to search by buyouts, search by name (looking for raw gem, you need to go through billion pages of already crafted ones), post multiple stuff at once, search for stacks etc …
Half of the issue with AH are cause by people spamming it with addons since its garbage and you cant find anything … and the other half by idiotic bots spamming everything by 1 stack and nonsense prices which could be avoided by giving us proper search options, so we can ignore this trash …
Well that’s utter nonsense. I’ve never used an AH addon in my life and I use the AH all the time.
Searchable, yes, I could live with that. The Retail AH looks all out of place in Wrath, and the inability to see who’s selling, and to bid is putting me off. That’s all of three things
Really dumb take there.
You woud effectivly kill professions and most of the player interactions in game.
If you could buy mats etc at a seller instead at a price ofcourse … then you eitehr would have to farm yourself or buy directly from friends or farm G to buy it, and no crappy AH sharks would get my hard earned G.
Do you call AH player interaction?
It would feel thge exact same as the Retail AH to me, it’s just a shop.
You just want to make money from AH, is why you think it’s bad idea.
tbh I am not exactly fan of the retail look either … but I could get over it, because the rest of what it offers is simply a must have …
on the other hand, having classic auction AND having useful auction, would be knees bees
Good looks, the ability to bid and the ability to see who’s selling (I have some I don’t buy from even when they are the only one) and then a functioning sorting system. Yup a dream come true
So you want Retail AH based on what you wrote.
No I rephrase: CLASSIC LOOKS - I think Retail looks are fugly!!!
Ability to bid - does not exist in Retail AH
Ability to see name of seller - do not exist on all Retail AH auctions.
Functioning sorting system was in BfA or earlier - before the looks were changed at least, no need to have the Retail one for that.
Noone bids, it’s a useless system.
Name of the seller is irrelevant.
You don’t ask for special cashier when you go to walmart.
I do, and bifdding IS what makes an Auction an auction - else it’s just selling.
No, but I refrain from buying stuff made by certain companies - which would be the right analogy here. The cashier would be the auctioneer and there Fitch, Chilton or Jaxon is half a dozen of one versus six of the other.
The only thing that bothers me is people listing 1 cloth or herb/ore for pages on end before you get to the stacks. Sucks when you need like a 100 for something.
You really are a relic of ye olden days are you bless your heart. But don’t hate on retail for changing it’s ways, it wouldn’t have survived otherwise. Despite all the haters WoW retail is still the most popular mmo despite being over 15 years old.
You got your ERA server where everything is more or less like it was at the start. Just some advice, because you’re starting to sound like a grumpy dude that hates everything not from his time.
Well…
I stand under the IronMan pennant as well I don’t use addons (except for those three re-creating what Blizz ruined Ach sounds, No open all mai button and Baraber shop old models)
And it also might be cool to create “Open Shop” feature. Where you would summon a shopping stand to sell something. You could avoid AH taxes with that. Would increase player interaction.
And probably GDKP gang would use it in raids a lot, lol
