[Retail] Monitors go black, forcing a reboot

GPU: RTX 3070
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X (Cooler: Alpenföhn® Dolomit Advanced)
MOBO: Asus TUF GAMING B550-PLUS
RAM: 16 GB (2 x 8 GB, DDR4 3600MHz)
OS: Windows 11 64-bit

I was AFK in the middle of Goldshire when suddenly both of my monitors went black, but my PC stayed on. I tried to force a shutdown by holding the power button down, but it didn’t work, leaving me no choice but to turn it off from the power switch at the back.

After waiting a minute or so, I switched my PC back on and updated Windows and my NVIDIA graphics drivers. I also ran CCleaner, did a virus scan using Malwarebytes, and checked for corrupted files with the sfc /scannow command.

Curiously, Windows Event Viewer did not report anything. There’s no mention of a GPU driver crash like you might expect, which is why I think it’s related to WoW since in my experience GPU crashes are always logged in the Event Viewer.

I don’t think it was a temperature issue as I’m always keeping tabs on my temps by having HWMonitor open.

I found two recent threads of a similar issue on the US forums:

The same, when alt+tab, but after black screen pc reboot instantly. Ryzen 3600

Check windows power management, monitor shut down options, hibernate/sleep options, hard drive/ssd shut down options, etc, etc.
It was not a crash, your computer switched a low power state, then couldnt wake up.

Note: this is a good example why i will stay on W10 until i can.

Power management - Perfomance, hibernate/sleep - disabled, windows 10. It starts few days ago with WoW only. I tested it with several benchmarks - no problems, with other games too. Three times I got this problem when WoW was running, I switched to the browser - black screen, reboot

Have you had any luck in fixing this? I’ve tried everything, last patch changing do DX 11 seemed to fix the issue, but now it happens when using DX 11 or 12.
