I was AFK in the middle of Goldshire when suddenly both of my monitors went black, but my PC stayed on. I tried to force a shutdown by holding the power button down, but it didn’t work, leaving me no choice but to turn it off from the power switch at the back.
After waiting a minute or so, I switched my PC back on and updated Windows and my NVIDIA graphics drivers. I also ran CCleaner, did a virus scan using Malwarebytes, and checked for corrupted files with the sfc /scannow command.
Curiously, Windows Event Viewer did not report anything. There’s no mention of a GPU driver crash like you might expect, which is why I think it’s related to WoW since in my experience GPU crashes are always logged in the Event Viewer.
I don’t think it was a temperature issue as I’m always keeping tabs on my temps by having HWMonitor open.
