i would love to see the new version of auction house in retail because searching thru 10 pages of 1 nethercloth when i need a stack are just a pain. i love the new auction house when they stack all together and i can buy the exact amount i need

Retail’s version is easier to use, it lags a lot less, it makes it harder to post scams and it stops the spams of 20 pages of single items posted by a single user, which makes it easier to buy stacks and easier for normal casual players to sell their stuff.
There are no downsides so I’d 100% be up for retail auction house.

Never played retail lon enough to see that AH, but that is something I could get aboard with. Going through dozens of pages of 1 of crafting items is annoying.

You could also get an easy AH addon though. Im not saying the retail AH is bad or anything, but this problem is easily solved with an addon.
Im using auctionator, works great for me.
I agree though, sorting through 90+ pages of runecloth is annoying… People putting up 200 stacks of 1’s should get banned.

Yea, the only problem with the addons is that it lags the AH like crazy.

People won’t be able to rip others off with a low bid and high buyout, that’s why people are against this. Personally it’s something I would like to see, that or more ways to search the sales or put them in buyout price order.

It’s not a QOL gameplay change tho, it has no impact on the gameplay other than fixing AH lag and reducing scam postings. The AH on high pop servers is pretty unusable at times and due to massive amount of listings can take a LONG time to find what you want without addons.
I just don’t see any rational argument against using the updated AH, it’s not like people are lining up to play Classic for it’s AH UI, people are using addons to try to get around the limitations of the AH which is also part of the reason for the unbearable lag when used by lots of people.
Retail AH is the answer.

Are you kidding me? The retail AH is actually the best to “rip off” people. Just putting high demand and high stacked consumes like herbs for 10% of the price, having it be the same number but with less G, more copper is literally tricking people into throwing theirs for literally NOTHING into the ah and the person then just buys it all off. This has happened and is still happening, it’s called stupid tax and very easy compared to those weird 900g+ scammers.
There has been alot of threads regarding that and it’s way more common than someone buying a manapot or whatever they do for those weird prices.
Addons are the answer. Because IF you make it with addons I can just not use them. If you make it a part of the UI I do not have this option.
Yeah, i can see what you mean. Whenever i scan, i more often than not, have to wait for scan to finish. Allthough it takes 1 min, its still a min i just have to watch numbers go up and down.
Whether or not you use addons or not the AH is still going to lag on high population servers, you’re still going to have scam listers and you’re still going to have to scan through pages of people listing 1 item at a time to hide other peoples auctions.
There is no rational or logical argument against retail AH, it’s in every way better without taking anything from the gameplay experience. Addons don’t fix the problems, they bandaid them and actually contribute to making the problems worse, addons are a large part of why the AH lags to begin with.

Look if you have some weird attachment to every minor aspect of the game that’s an internal and psycological thing that is unique to you and it should never influence Blizzard making objectively good improvements to the game.
Is your gameplay experience massively connected to having a laggy AH with single posted items taking up 20 pages and scams littered in to catch people out? If so then you’re likely a scam artist who benefits from this, and if that is the case we shouldn’t listen to your opinion should we?
Your opinion is akin to wanting lower fps, higher latency, a return to spell batching, if somebody thinks that playing WoW on a pentium 4 with a 17 inch monitor is the best way then that’s fine, but we shouldn’t listen to them because that doesn’t have anything to do with the “Classic WoW” experience, in 2007 people were wishing for better performance and playing the game in spite of their crappy PC’s.
