Ive heard retris are underwhelming in mop, can someone explain why and if there is a chance for tuning?

Retri is good overall as a dps. But it’s not top dps either single target or aoe. That simple.
As far as I remember they become more fun to play, feeling less restricted and holy power flows more nicely

yeah sadly after testing ret in the beta i concurred that it’s very underwhelming compared to some of the other dps classes
Only selling quality of Ret paladin is that Holly spec sux and Prot need gear to be good , and even with gear other tanks are better in 5.4. BUT you kinda want Paladin utility especialy HoP cos it alow your group to 1 tank meny Bosses cos it can remove some of Tank swaping debuffs
what you on about pala tank were great day 1 of MoP they could solo tank much of the raids and there self and off heals made 10mans so easy 1 tank 1 heal 8 dps especially if the healer was disc.
on topic ret was middle of pack until ToT then tbey really did well same in SoO.
They were in 5.3, we are on 5.4 client, Glyph of battle Healer was killed and sacred shield nerffed heavy, and other tanks especialy warr and Dk get heavy buffs in 5.4
Yes Prot Paladin was GOD tank in ToT but we are not on ToT patch, and Prot need alot of haste to be on level of other tanks in 5.4
Every healing spec is better then Holly Pala in 5.4, and alsow easier to play
Almost any DPS spec can do what Ret do but better
5.4 MoP is kinda low point for for Paladin class, it not that they are unpleyable but simple everyone is so much better and Paladin need alot of gear to scale, only class over who i woud prefer to have Ret is probalby DPS monk
