In most cases, I rather meet a boomie than a ret. It’s much easier to kill a boomie and lock down the boomie starpuke, then it is to stop a turbo bubble space marine.
I agree, that in any circumstance where the fight drags out further than a bubble, the ret is much squishier than a boomie, but your not always in a situation where that bubble is irrelevant, many times that bubble is the difference that matters.

no you got immunity and dmg reduction with self heals that actually heal for amount.
compare to feral when it has 0 immunity and drops dead after the 3min cd wall that lasts for 6 sec drops , not just that our regrowth heals like a wet noodle.
ret does fine damage.
you got 2x steed and most of your abilites are ranged you dont need more + you have freedom to get rid of snares and slows.
you can spec into BOS and give your team mate an extra trinket , can offheal decently and can provide Sacrifice with freedom on top.
yeah gl with that one buddy , try play feral and cast a regrowth in pvp combat and tell me how much it heals you and try get instant regrowth proc and look how much it heals you , wet noodle , if you have wings and press wog your wog heals more so no

i legit told you , freedom , Blessing of Sacrifice , wog offheals , bop which can count as trinket too with Blessing of Sanctuary pvp talent, half of your abilites are ranged. CDR on hammer of justice, you also have a pvp talent called searing gaze , if you know how to use it you can make all enemies miss their damage abilites,
only reason im speaking of this cause i play hpala mainly but i did play ret before and i know how both specs work , it was Crazy overpowered in SL and DF after rework

i think this is the only issue ret actually has is Forb other than that youre fine.
plus youre getting buffs
i would just buff damage a little during wings so wings would actually feel scary for oponents.

you bring alot more , freedom vs warrior or dk comps or even frost mages is insane atm.
Bop is great against rmp for saving your healers trinket , even blessing of sanctuary gives your team a free trinket.
CDR on HOJ so you can land hoj on healers faster , when you land hoj you searing gaze the other enemies on top or bait kicks with searing with fake casting it. baiting kicks gives your healer time to breathe and play keeping you alive
i think where we both can agree on hybrids like rets and druids need buffs on their self healing abilites like wog and flash of light and regrowth for druids , casted one and instant one for feral
what. frenzy heals for like 10% hp. other than casted regrowth boomy has absolutely zero selfheal.
only thing ret is lacking right now is a little bit more dmg and they are a+ tier easily again. They have so strong utility. They just lack dmg + its not their meta with all these affli locks, discs and hpalas.
Ret is getting a dmg buff but let’s be honest, people gotta stop saying " MORE DMG ’ that isnt ret paladins main problem.
Self heals are close to 0 and all around tankiness is like hitting a low geared AFK mage.
If paladins could lite and heal Abit and be abit more tanky. They would be much more fun to play.
I mean, hunters heal more than ret.

oh yes ferals are extremely squishy and there healing is awful even though feral is in eveyr awc game and ret is one of the few specs that have not been used in awc.

maybe you slept in SL ret arms comp? because ret was dominating in shadowlands with warrior and yes they were in awc

Precisely, Templar talents improve ST damage considerably. The talent buffs seem to be very interesting
