I really feel like Paladin talent tree could use some re-imagining and I’ve decided to post some ideas which will make the class feel far more fun.
Make Divine Steed a Choice Node - Welcome Back Long Arm of the Law
Casting Judgement now suppresses all movement impairing & Increases the Paladin movement speed by 60% for 5 seconds.
Cavalier removed entirely and baked into Divine Steed choice node
Seasoned Warhorse buffed
Seasoned Warhorse now increases the duration of Divine Steed by 100%
Seal of the replaced with Pursuit of Justice (choice node with Seasoned warhorse
Pursuit of Justice - Increase your movement speed by 5% per Holy Power Stored
Blessing of Protection & Blessing of Spellwarding added back as choice node
Spellwarding removed from Protection tree and now a choice node for all specializations.
Recompense changed to Divine Sacrifice
Divine Sacrifice now re-directs 20% of the damage received of all party members (up to 5) and reduces the damage taken of all targets effected by Divine Sacrifice by 20%. Lasts for 8 seconds or until the Paladin falls below 20% health.
Touch of the Light redesigned
Consecration can now be cast at target location
Incandescence renamed Holy Ground
Consecration now pulses from the Paladin feet and will now move along with the Paladin
Holy Avenger now a choice node alongside Avenging Wrath
Holy Avenging is now 2-minute cool-down and increases the damage dealt by Holy Power builders by 100% & increase holy power generation by 200% for 20 seconds. Any additional Avenging Wrath combination can now combine with Holy Avenger
Divine Purpose no longer a choice node
Sanctified Wrath redesigned
Duration and cool-down of Avenging Wrath & Holy Avenger is reduced by 50%
of Dusk and Dawn replaced with Empowered Seals
Learn the following Seals
- Seal of Command - Holy Power damage spenders now deal 20% of the damage to all targets within 10 yards of the target
- Seal of Light - Holy Power healing spenders now heal 20% of the healing done to all friendly targets within 10 yards of the target
- Seal of Justice - Holy Power spenders now limit the targets movement speed to 100% for 6 seconds.
Only One Seal can be active at any one time. Each Seal last 60 minutes.
Seal of Order replaced with Empowered Judgement
Your Seals now empower your Judgement spell (Does not affect Divine Toll)
- Seal of Command - Judgement now chains between 3 targets
- Seal of Light - Judgement can now be used on friendly targets as a heal
- Seal of Justice - Judgement now slows the target by 50% for 8 seconds.
Blade of Justice now baseline generates 2 Holy Power
Improved Crusader Strike now a choice node alongside Holy Blade (Redesigned)
Holy Blade now increases the damage dealt by Crusader Strike by 100% and causes it to deal Holy Damage.
Shield of Light now replaces Divine Protection as choice node
Shield of Light works exactly the same as Shield of Vengeance only Shield of Light heals friendly targets instead of damaging enemy targets.
Divine Protection redesigned and become a choice node with Eye for an Eye
Divine Protection now reduces magical damage taken by 40% for 8 seconds. Same cool-down
Eye for an Eye slight change
Now reduces all physical damage including bleeds by 40% and re-direct 25% of weapon damage back to the target if stood in front of the Paladin.
Empyrean Legacy Removed and replaced with Hammer of Reckoning
Hammer of Reckoning replaces Hammer of Wrath (if Hammer of Wrath is learned grant 2 charges) - Hammer of Reckoning deals damage equal to Hammer of Wrath but causes your next Holy Power spender to also cast Divine Storm. can be used at any health. Generates 1 Holy Power. 30 second cool-down.
Final Reckoning now longer increases Holy Power spenders damage
this is to off-set the damage increase of the below
Tempest Light has been removed
Justicar Vengeance now replaces Final Verdict and talent redesigned
- Templar Verdict transform into Justicar Verdict - Justicar Verdict increase the range of Templar Verdict by 15 yards and causes damage dealt to heal the Paladin by 100% the damage dealt. Justicar Verdict critical strike chance increased by 100% when used on target effected by Hammer of Justice
- Divine Storm transforms into Justicar Storm - Justicar Storm now projects an additional Divine Storm as a wave of Light around the Paladin, striking all enemies encircling the Paladin within 20 yards, dealing 20% of the Damage dealt by Justicar Storm
Vanguard moment redesigned
Hammer of Wrath deals 100% additional damage when used on target below 10% maximum health (also effects Hammer of Reckoning)
Execution sentence redesigned and replaced with Warlords of Draenor version
No Longer cost Holy Power. Deals a set amount of damage to the target over 10 seconds and explodes dealing more dangerous damage at the 10 second mark.
Executioners Will redesigned
Execution sentence can now be used on friendly target in reverse effect. Now heals the Target and leaving a heal over time for the next 10 seconds
Executioner’s Wrath redesigned
The Explosive damage caused by Execution sentence at the 10 second mark now hits all enemies within 10 yards of the Target
Righteous verdict redesigned
Holy Power spender increase the damage of your next Holy Power builder by 10%.
