Atm, its DPS output outside CDs is a total joke. While most every other spec works around CDs and they are weak outside, Retri’s is at 3minutes!
The set is once again terrible. Retri’s str always has been his Wings. The set should work around his wings not around a mediocre attack.
Its unbelievable that they keep Retri in the mud, if there is a hidden agenta about the spec, please come out and say outloud WHY the spec is kept in this crap state.

because blizzard thinks that classes without tank/healer specs (it’s not ret) have to pwn all the 17-whatever-the-age-of-this-game-is years old and other classes should deal with it. 100% sure it will get even more nerfs when 2 legendaries are obtainable. Nothing we can do about it

You have Cd every 1min as a kyrian,combined with 1m on use pvp trinket+seraphim it is pretty strong.
And if you use Seraphim over Crusade (dunno if he’s talking PvP or not), he has another one…

Yeah, for PvP. But not everyone cares about pvp.
For raids ret is pretty much middle of the pack, with strong single target, which can be ruined by a single mistimed cooldown, like for example getting to handle some mechanics right after popping wings.
Regarding M+, ret is bottom. There is basically no need to bring one, since everything it can bring, prot and holy can as well. There is no reason to bring 2 paladins. We don’t have CR, lust or any actually usefull support buffs. Don’t come here with BoP, freedom and lay on hands, because prot and holy already have it and those utilities are based on failing.
Also don’t say to make your own group or get friends because that’s not a solution to the classes problems…
No they aren’t at all.
Lay on hands is a healing CD, not “based on failing” BoP has tons of good uses.
Also, the line of logic that “other pallies have it so it negates ours” is laughable.
Regarding M+, rets have timed 28’s. They seem to work in the right hands.

Blizzard design philosophy is to design classes around CD’s plus build/spender
That’s terrible design in my opinion.
Cause CD’s are giving you like flat dmg%boost
instead of somehow enhancing your basic spells to do something different and interesting during that burst window.
Wow class design is years behind.
They stoped trying.
It’s like when you make tomato sandwich
it’s OK nothing wrong with it.
But it’s basic and not a lot of work is required to make it.
Blizzard forgot to experiment and try new stuff with everything in their game not just classes.
