It works for me as well. I made the config read-only for now and it seems to keep the change - and like it was mentioned before, it’s a workaround. Blizz needs to fix this.
Same. Doesn’t fix the problem. It seems like all the characters on the realm I was logged in yesterday with that account are unavailable now.
Account1 (was last on Antonidas yesterday): Antonidas characters dont work. The ones on Khaz’Goroth are ok.
Account2 (was on khaz’goroth remix): Khaz’Goroth dont work but Antonidas characters are ok.
So how’s the venue looking?

So, another view of this, as none of the above stuff worked for me, since my config file was missing.
I logged into WOW Classic, proceed to create a character(I hadn’t any) checked realm list, it appeared, logged into the new char, I could move, exited the game, logged on retail and everything seems to be working as expected, I logged on my main, checked Realm list, all of them appeared there, so, this maybe another workaround for someone out there experiencing the same issue. I can play now.
I know that this can be confusing, however this is done to highlight a specific post (which will make it appear in the OP’s post, where new players opening the thread can easily see it), where I requested some information that we needed for our investigation.
It does not mean that the issue is solved. 
This worked for me, thank you SO MUCH.
Wanna note i can log all my characters again and retrieve realm list my DNS server is acting a bit odd today to so maybe its related, but probably not since others reported same issue before, i assume they can log in again or they be posting still about it.

P.S.: we did see that the server selection appears to pop up at every login.
Not working and the SET disableAutoRealmSelect “1” dose not work and the line get removed from config.wtf at each game lauch
What character and realm are you trying to connect, Excalibuvtva?
I can log on all my character but at each log-in the realm list pop up on the screen forcing me to select the realm where i play aka Draenor
Yes, this is normal (for now).

ehm, did you fix the commas ? this forum/website changes commas as you write them…
- in Battle.net app/program click on the cogwheel (located right from the play button) => Show in Explorer => now you are in your World of Warcraft folder through windows explorer
- navigate to
World of Warcraft\_retail_\WTF=> there is only fileConfig.wtf=> right click => open with… => notepad - scroll to bottom and add
SET disableAutoRealmSelect "1" - check if the commas
"1"are right, you can copy/paste the commas from commands above in the text you editing (something did edit my commas in this guide) - save/CTRL+S
Yeah seeing realm list popup to each login guess its part of the temp fix to address the issue until better solution is found.
Yea dude i’m not stupid i work in IT and i even manually typed it in the config…
It get deleted each time i put it in…
The issue is that blizzard had some issue early and now untill fixed you bump in the realm list at each login as you can even read on the blue post above you
It defaulted me to the tournament realm, but now I have to pick my server everytime I log in.
The issue is still persistent for me.
I have multiple characters on Argent Dawn, Quel’Thalas and Azuremyst UK
