As most long time pro WW monks say, and many other high rated pvp streamers confirm, atleast judging from the tier lists, the spec needs help.
It is a glorified damage bot with zero utility for its team. The CC is sad, 1 incap and 1 aoe stun on a semi long cooldown just don’t cut it.
It is too tanky and can brawl with other melees well and it is super frustrating for warlock specs and shadowpriest. WDP knock is the type of micro cc people have been complaining about, there was no need to introduce it. On the other hand, it can get kited by mages and hunters like there is no tomorrow.
The spec is riddled with bugs and wonky interactions.
I like the flavour of Clash and it is fun pulling people on z axis maps, but it can bug out. Even tho Diffuse magic clearly states thw magic damage taken is reduced by 60%, you still take full damage from UA dispel. The pointed mobility seems painfully outdated once you get proc rng rooted from frost mage during your rolls. A sudden lag or latency spike can make you waste your Whirling roll and make you feel like a complete noob.
Reduce the tankiness. Remove the WDP knock up. Remove the many modifiers from the spec tree.
Significantly buff RSK and FoF. Make WW the glass cannon with lethal setups that relied on timing ports to prevent damage. Damn WW monk was such a badass amd exciting spec to watch when it was designed like that.
Now it lacks pressure to finish off games.
