Im trying out Dragonflight after returning to the game and my server on my side of the faction is just completely dead. how can this be an MMO? and i know there is a realm transfer but that is exactly what I did at the beginning of Shadowlands my god how many micro-transactions do you need to put in a game?
Blizzard can you please do something about it I’m playing with like 10 other people…

You know more and more realms are dying consistently right?
Could’ve had enough players beforehand and it died over the last 3 years.
I mean , if u were transfering already once, why did u not choose somehing that wont just die easily ?

Everyone transfers to the same 6 servers. Evrry new player asks whst server to go and we say those same 6 servers.
When we do nothing but advocate massing on a minority of servers, ofcourse the servers around them are bleeding out
Its likely time to condense the low po0 realms entirely and start removing emptied servers
Unless you are attached to your character you can level a new one on a busier realm. I do understand not wanting to do that. I will always move my main.
I have been on a couple of realms whose populations died out over time and eventually I just moved myself to the busiest Horde and Alliance realms. Now that we can have both factions in one guild, I am actually slowly rerolling characters to join me on Draenor from Silvermoon as I’m not going to pay to move them all.
Sites like these can give you an indication of what realm populations are like. They aren’t perfect as only Blizzard has the actual data but they are a pretty good clue.
Faction divide has become less important with the introduction of cross faction play. Though it is limited to PuG content only at present, so things like Mythic Plus, Nm/Hc/Myth raiding etc. These restrictions are likely to be relaxed further over time.
In the past we have seen realm connections but they came to a halt and we’ve seen none since. Blizzard have now been expanding on cross realm features, the most recent change being cross realm trading. The AH is region wide for commodities which means quieter realms benefit from a larger pool of supply/demand.
