Return battleground statistics into scoreboard

I’m deeply disappointed and saddened by the removal of damage done, healing done, and kill statistics from the battleground scoreboard. This change has significantly diminished my enjoyment of PvP content.

As someone who has played battlegrounds for years, I feel this decision removes core elements that made PvP engaging:

1. Strategic gameplay is compromised: As a healer, I relied on damage statistics to make informed decisions about who to prioritize for healing. Seeing who’s dealing the most damage helped me allocate my resources efficiently and support the players making the biggest impact. Without this information, I’m essentially healing blind.

2. Personal achievement and motivation are gone: One of the fundamental appeals of PvP is the competitive aspect - seeing how you stack up against others. Whether I topped damage charts or needed to improve, those statistics provided tangible goals and satisfaction. This was a core reward system that kept me engaged and motivated to improve my gameplay.

3. The social aspect is diminished: Checking stats after a battleground, comparing performance with friends, and yes, even having friendly competition about who got more kills or healing - these were integral parts of the PvP experience that fostered community engagement.

I understand the intention might be to reduce toxicity, but this feels like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The vast majority of players used these statistics constructively. Now battlegrounds feel hollow - just accumulating honorable kills without any meaningful metrics to track performance or improvement.

Please reconsider this change. The battleground experience has lost much of what made it exciting and rewarding. Many of us play PvP specifically for the competitive elements that these statistics provided.

Couldn’t agree more. The removal of damage, healing, and kill statistics from battleground scoreboards is just the latest example of this soul-crushing trend. They’re literally stripping away the competitive elements that made PvP worth playing.

It’s heartbreaking to watch them systematically dismantle everything that made battlegrounds engaging for the sake of some hypothetical “new player” who might feel bad about their performance. Meanwhile, those of us who’ve been here for years, who actually understand and love the competitive nature of PvP, are left with a hollow shell of what battlegrounds used to be.

No more checking who’s carrying the team. No more friendly competition with guildmates about damage meters. No more strategic healing decisions based on who’s actually making an impact. Just mindless honor farming with zero feedback on performance.

You nailed it - they’re so obsessed with protecting everyone from any possible negative feeling that they’ve removed everything that created positive feelings too. The irony is that new players won’t even know what they’re missing, while veterans are watching yet another piece of the game’s soul get carved away.

WoW used to reward effort and skill. Now it just rewards showing up. The battleground change is small compared to everything else you listed, but it perfectly encapsulates the problem: Blizzard would rather have a sterile, “safe” game that offends no one than a vibrant, competitive world that actually means something to the people who play it.

When did they remove it?

Unless they changed something in the last 2 weeks, I’m pretty sure he is referring to the usual scoreboard bug where you can’t see statistics. Requires a simple /reload to fix it.

Yes the veterans who fought countless battles for years on end with honorlevel 8 and 12 ._.
Reminds me of these 2 people spamming for blitz dd duo queue whilst having played not even 30 games in total.

Apart from that /reload or you just do not look at the board play the game and at the end of that bg it shows what has been performed. In ebgs its at least like that if it bugs finish and it shows the numbers

And since when does wow reward effort/performance? it never did. It rewards the opposite.

Men just type /reload

Its a long standing bug Blizz does not deem worthy of fixing. It is PvP.
