Return To Karazhan - Nightbane Respawn?

Evening

So I cleared Return to Karazhan and successfully got the crystals and summoned Nightbane. After wiping a few times, I decided to come back to him later on. About a day or two later (while still being locked to the instance) I re-entered and all mobs in the rooms I travelled through to activate the crystals, and ignored, had de-spawned. Some rooms, e.g. mobs like spiders, stables/Attumen the Huntsman etc were still there.

I walked straight to Nightbane’s balcony and nothing. No Medivh or Nightbane. So I found that all but 1 of the crystals had re-spawned and allowed me to interact and channel them, so I began doing that. But the only one that didn’t appear again was the Curator’s crystal. So I am at a loss as to what is going on.

Am I experiencing a bug, or is it that you can only attempt Nightbane in one run without exiting the instance?

Thanks

Could be that he resteded with soft reset and probably you can activate crystal once a week , so better like on next wednesday .

Yes I remember during Légion, one player could activate crystals only one time each week

Thanks for the replies, I guess I’ll have to be more patient and careful next time!

…and maybe git gud lol.

I wonder, why did u wipe? Should’t be faceroll being 120?

Yeah exactly what I thought. I’ve done much more demanding fights and solos, and came really close but my gear sucks having just turned 120, and I just took far too much damage (way more than I expected) without really preparing ahead much.

Just decided to try it spur of the moment at some ridiculous hour and decided to come back to it when I was more awake - to no avail!

Before 8.1 you could faceroll him. But since this week a lot off classes won’t be able to solo it anymore. I had no problems killing him last week as a 373 assassin rogue last week, but was unable to kill him this week. His HP got doubled and he does a lot more damage now as well.

All the bosses and trash have just suddenly had a boost.
I’m guessing the scaling thing is to blame
