Hey guys so I returned to WoW after 6 years and I used Dragonflight boost on Lock wich I leveled up to 70( I completed new campaign) But as I have more characters mostly from 35-45 level I have question how to start leveling them? I loged in on some of them but I just found myself looking on screen doesnt know where to go. Anyone have idea where and how to start as I want to level them.
There is a new system of choosing levelling path called Chromie Time.
Any level 10 to 60 can meet Chromie in Stormwind or Orgrimmar. There is now a Stormwind Embassy and an Orgrimmar Embassy. You will see them marked on your map.
Chromie stands outside the Embassy.
If you talk to her, she will offer you a choice of all the expansions, from TBC to Shadoowlands.
Choose the expansion you want, and she will give you the quest to go there and Abracadabra the time line so that all the mobs and quests and dungeons of that expansion scale to your level.
Any one expansion will provide more than enough XP to get you from 10 to 60.
So you can level from 10 to 60 in any expansion you like.
If you change your mind, you can go back to Chromie to chang your expansion,a nd she will oblige.
Thank you from the answer . As I can see you post alot in this thread can you maybe give me advice about professions? I mean as I saw in new expansion we have Dragonflight professions from 1 to 100. What about leveling professions with Alts till lvl 60 is it even worth or I should not bother with that ?
It is generally not worth doing professions in previous expansions, now that you don’t have to do them to catch up with Dragonflight.
You zip through the older expansions SO FAST that there isn’t time to develop their professions.
There is limited demand for previous-expension mats or items, so they don’t sell well, or for much.
Once you hit 70, you may want to go back and hit older expansion professions for achievements, or to craft some specific items for transmog or something, but I wouldn’t spend time on them until you know what, specifically, you want from them.
The site wow-professions.com is the one I use to learn how best to skill up my professions.
Professions are … complicated … and difficult, and expensive to break into in Dragonflight. The devs revamped the system, and while they did make professions substantive, they also raised the bar for entry for the people who don’t want to make professions a major focus of their gameplay. So by all means take gatrhering profs, but do your research before you pour vast amounts of time and gold into skilling up your crafting profs.
One note: Fishing plays a role in Dragonflight proper, in some events and quests for the Tuskarr, so it is worth getting at least some basic points - say 20 - on every character.
Once again thank you for answer. Im using same site for professions but to be honest I dont understand nothing about new profession system in this expansion. First I dont see what benefit I have from leveling profession to level 100 as I can see all my BIS enchants for PvP can be done on level 55 enchanting so why to push to 100 . Second I dont understand those Dragon Isle Enchanting points and Enchantment Specialization system. I think the game has to many informations for someone that returning.
Yeah. I don’t understand professions this expansion either.
However, I do know that the focus has shifted from the raw skill level 1-100 to mastering the specialisations, which give the ability to make higher quality items for each special area - for example, Enchanting has a Weapon Enchant tree.
