It’s been a good few years since I last played this game on an active basis. To say that it has been a culture shock each time I have attempted to return would be quite the understatement. Yet I quite enjoy roleplay and would very much like to get back into it.
The typical advice is to just join a guild and go from there, but what if I don’t necessarily want to do that right away and instead would prefer to start slow and ease back into things by interacting with one or two individuals at a time?
Such is my predicament. I do want to join a guild eventually, but I would very much prefer to build up an IC and OOC rapport with members of a guild in a way that feels natural rather than just marching my character to their location and joining up immediately.
I was always very fond of blood elves when I played this game in the past. I remember a lot of their lore rather well - though there’s a few expansions that I need to go through properly to catch up on what I’ve missed. To say nothing of the headache of keeping track of time skips.
So what exactly am I looking for? Simply put, lore abiding, patient and reliable contacts I can have my character approach and hang around with. I’m not looking to have him be the centre of attention - think of it as me offering up a bit of elven muscle who can move cargo, track beasts, serve as a bodyguard or something else along those lines that makes sense.
My character, Sinthrius Sunwrath, has a fairly simple concept and background. He would have very much enjoyed being able to live in peace and solitude doing what he likes best - raising and caring for the lynxes and dragonhawks of his homeland. Yet peace and Azeroth do not exactly align for very long and the various threats near and far have forced him to step up and do what he can to defend the land.
At present, he mostly roams Quel’Thalas though if a sufficient reason his put forward then he will travel further afield. He is often accompanied by his loyal companion, Dawnfang - a springpaw lynx that he raised himself and something that can serve well as a good excuse to approach him, hopefully!
He judges others on their own merits, so he is willing to work with pretty much anyone so long as they’re not openly opposed to his people or his homeland.
