Returning player: Argus, Items

Morning All.

New returning player here, after 8 years, and I have quite a few questions… Just asking a couple though

I am trying to start the Argus campaign, but Khadgar is not offering me anything and I am level 50 now.
I have checked an external guide but it mentions a lot of steps that probably are no longer in the game; it seems that I have to complete a quest “Uniting the Isles”, which I have.
Does anyone know if this is the right way? If so, is there a quick way to gain the reputation I need?

Second question is about old items… My bags (Void Storage included) are full and it seems to me that all the items are now in what is called “Collection” and I can just use them to transmogrify .
I can just sell the old items, can’t I?

Many thanks!

Welcome back!

This guide seems up to date

and this page checks what you have completed.

If that doesn’t help, post again and we’ll rule things out.

Second question:

Old Soulbound gear items that you were keeping purely for Transmog purposes ? Yes, you can now vendor that. Once you have learned (soulbound) an item your character can use, it has been moved into your Appearances Collection, and you no longer need to keep the item in your bank to transmog it.

A LOT of banks were emptied the day that change went live!

Seems like you need to do the quests Armies of Legionfall and Assault on the Broken Shore to unlock the Argus questline. Even though It’s been a while since I’ve done it I believe this still holds.

As for old items, equipment becomes available to transmogrify once it is soulbound/account bound. You can then sell it, the appearance will stay in your collection.

Many vanity items have been converted into toys (transformation items, cushions and signs, engineering wormholes, etc.). They’re a special kind of consumable that once used is added to an account wide toy collection (works like a vanity spellbook) and can then be used.

Thank you both, Chronormi and Gráinne! The Wowhead guide posted is exactly the one I had checked.

Gráinne the tool is indeed useful as well, and yeah, so much back space saved!

Do you know if there is a quick way to gain reputation with Legion’s factions, other than questing?

One last thing; if I buy Shadowlands, would I be be able to gain experience at level 50 in the old zones?

Thanks!

Nothing interesting. Later on in the Legion campaign, you co0uld get some repm tokens from the table, but for now it’s just questing.

Yes of course. If you buy Shadowlands, you could level above 50 and still get rep there, or you could lock your XP at 50 and still get rep there.
