Returning player. Choosing faction based on lore

I cant choose between horde and alliance. Help me to make up my mind, i returned player and there is left around 3 month before Shadowlands hit. I need to do as much as i can before that.
This means i need to focus on only one side. I will do solo story for other faction, level character to 120. I love Warcraft lore so this is a must for me. Warcraft 3 was my childhood game. Also read some books. I am on my way to slowly read all the all.

So… I came up with a list of everything i like and dislike about factions. Lets begin.

Alliance

Humans(Stormwind) - Don’t really care about them, but i like Anduin. He reminds me of young Arthas, without his shortcomings. A Little bit naive thou, but it’s gives a charm. And i kinda adore Jaina, she is such a tragic character, yes she did some stuff after the loss of her apprentice. But her character development is great, especially in bfa.
Worgen - I kinda like them, Genn Greymane is a cool dude.
Gnomes - cute, and thats it. I love Kinndy…
Draenei - neautral, not really a fan of all those “light” themes. But i really like Velen. I love how he changed at the end of Legion. He is a bro to Illidan now
Dwarfs - neutral
night elves - i hate them, yes they lost their immortality, yes they lost their second home. Its a tragedy. But i really dont like Tyrande and Malfurion. I wont forgive Malfurion for Illidan’s exile. Tyrade is just angry all the time. I cant stand their atitude towards other elves. For gods sake demons already know where Azeroth is. They will not suddenly forget you after you stop using Arcane magic. Fine, you decided to embrase nature and druidism, but dont think that you and your magic is better than anyone or anything else.

Allied races is kinda okay, not super special. I like Kul Tiran, their city is awesome. Void elves… eh… i get their void theme, kinda cool. But i dont Alliance wouldve alow them to join so easy. For gods sake even sin’dorei kicked them out, and those dudes use(used?) a lot of fel magic. Also blizzard is trying to tell as that void magic is not that bad, but god… even Sargeras‎ and demons fear it.

Horde.
Oh boy… lets start with the good

Tauren and Highmountain Tauren - Natural to Azeroth. i love those guys, Baine is a bro, true peacekeeper. I don’t know what the Horde would have become without them. I never really was a fun of shamanism and druidism, but i still love those guys.
Trolls and Zandalari Trolls - Natural to Azeroth. Orcs( and goblins?), draenei came from different world. Humans, dwarfs and gnomes is descendants of titans. Trolls, Pandaren(?), Tauren and Vulpera is the only natural to Azeroth races.
I love trolls, they are one of the oldest races, current elves is their descendants. RIP Vol’jin.
I not so long ago got to Zandalar… its such an awesome place. Zandalari culture is awesome. Love quests in the city.

Blood elves(or Sin’dorei, i like this name more) - i really love them. Their lore, their thirst for magic. Kael’thas was awesome in W3, it was sad to see whats become of him in TBC. Yes they have bad sides. They are arrogant and think of themselves as higher race. But after Arthas destroyed Sunwell and Kael’thas saved them, and named them Sin’dorei, they become less arrogant. A lot of them changed their world view. They are not stuck in the past like night elves. While gnomes and goblins moving technology of Azeroth, those guys is advancig magic. Even sometimes its dangerous (fel), but most of the time they know when to stop(void).

Goblins - Neutral. They are greedy, funny and sometimes angry little mongrels. Not really a fan of them. Thats all i can tell

Vulpera - Neutral, dont know a lot about them.

And here comes the bad.

Forsaken - i really hate them. It was a big mistake to invite them to horde. Sylvanas is a proof to that statement. And i abhor Nathanos, want to kill this guy with my own hands.

Orcs - YES, THE ORCS. Everytime, every time orcs is the cause of war in this game. Only Forsaken is worse than them. The only orc i like is Thrall. He is the only one who suppressed his savage side. Maybe its because he is a shaman, and all orc shamans is like him. I dk.
Even Saurfang, who is smart, couldnt hold his savage inner orc and succumbed to Ыylvanas manipulations to start a war. They made Draenei slaves and used them as living batteries to open portal. The only time orcs were not aggressive is when Thrall was a warchief. Thrall is an only exception to the rule. Orcs should not be faction leaders. Please dont be angry at jabs, this is just my opinion.

So… thats all. I cant choose.) Whats your take on factions?
I really love horde but orcs and forsaken ruin it for me. But they also create kinda cool racial dynamic.
I like alliance and love its leaders, but its racial dynamic is not that fan, just okay.

P.S. If my writing is confusing and there is some bad spelling mistakes, i am really sorry. English is not my native language. Feel free to roast me.

Tauren/Highmountain Tauren makes playing on the Horde worth it. Join us. Just ignore the Forsaken and the orcs. Every side has its rotten eggs.

Then it’s clear, isn’t it? :man_shrugging:

Choose Murloc though :c

Based on what I understood from all this. You seem to like the Leaders of the Alliance (minus Tyrande and her husband) but not the Alliance characters themselves as they are either neutral, boring, or cute (based on what you said about each)

But you seem to have a lot more positivity towards Horde races (minus Undead and orcs). So go Horde I guess. It would be hard to ignore Orgrimmar, but overall you seem more positive towards that faction. And besides most people spend time in Zuldazar anyway. Just my opinion

Want to do high end gaming - Horde
If not - Alliance

Yeah, i don’t like Orgrimmar look. But Silvermoon and Zuldazar are awesome. Leaders for me have a big impact. When i played Battle for Lordaeron i rooted for Alliance whole quest. Even if i dont like Night Elves what Sylvanas did to their tree is awful. But yeah, right now im leaning to horde. Its true what they say. Organizing thoughts through writing helps to make decision.

The choice is simple. Blood Elf master race.

Sylvanas is most likely not going to be the leader of the horde anymore. Currently the person representing the Forsaken Is Lillian Voss.

Mb i was harsh on Forsaken. They just a bunch of dead people who needs a good leader and decent place to live. Lordaeron was not a good place for a psyche. But i dont have hope for orcs, their inner savage nature is too strong, they are always want to fight. Other Horde races should control them, otherwise it’s only a matter of time before another Garrosh seize power

How do ye control a bunch of rabid animals whose main purpose is to kill and conquer though?

Hello Keizy!

I read your entire post and what you have to say about all the races and got a general understanding of your lore knowledge.

You 100% belong on the Alliance as a Worgen!

I am also happy to hear you have such a interested in the lore. Once you have hit 120 and done the War Campaign for the Alliance, I would actually recommend you roll a fresh Forsaken Character on the Horde.

Trust me, the lore there is really juicy and you get a lot of insight from the quests in Tirisfal, Silverpine and the Plaguelands to their nature, culture and motives. Their history is reflected in dungeons such as the Scarlet Monastery, Stratholme and Scholomance, be sure to do them!

I would also recommend watching Nobbel87’s lore videos on youtube.

Doing all that is really the only way to understand the Horde War Campaign and Sylvanas.

Good luck with the leveling!
