Returning player how to get into new raid groups?

Hiya,

as a returning player, I cleared 8/8 for vault but does anyone have any tips on how to get into groups for the new Aberrusraid when most groups just want to blast it and ask for 8/8 HC?

thanks!

You join a normal run and when you have sarkareth you can apply to HC runs that are in progress and are desperately looking for anyone. Once you have some HC kills you can join a fresh run for more kills and eventually find a semi-guild run that progresses the final ones.

Well…
Make your own?
Firends? Guild?

If you don’t have guild/friends, you have 2 choices basically:

  1. sign to every possible group and eventually you will be invited into a group, which is not complete trash, and you will get AOTC.
  2. Buy AOTC and this will become your green card to groups.

But I would really recommend joining a guild, everything become much easier with organazed raid with a schedule.

You press H click on the pvp tab and click queue.

This is how I do it on my rat-alts, it works 10/10 times.

Create your own group, name it: “HC Abberus / Fresh”, but in the note “Anyone that does less DPS than myself gets kicked”, now - fill group up with 435-441, go 2-3 tanks, 3-4 healers and cram in as many DPS you can up to the player cap of 30.

Once the run starts clearing bosses, rename title to “Ongoing” instead of fresh.

After every boss say: “Clear trash, checking who gets kicked”, que the group to refill people who left as they only needed that boss or anyone that you kicked for doing less DPS than yourself.

Channel your inner chad, they respect that. Someone gives you lip? Kick them. Don’t say anything, just do it. People will “lol” and “kek”. When they ask for strats, say “Focus DPS on boss, do mechanics. Don’t be a sh*tter”. Don’t say anything else.

Enjoy your free boostrun, as being toxic will pull in more elitists who want to watch this clownshow on the road as word spreads.

That’s the neat part, you don’t. Unless you have friends or are willing to que into the most bottom of the barrel groups or are willing to pay for a carry.

It’s very easy. You join a fresh run until 7/9 Heroic, and then you buy a boost for 90k for both last bosses. Also: Be 9/9 normal first. Next week you get instant invites. Thank me later.

Why pay for a boost, when ya can get the boost for free :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Greetings and welcome,

First and foremost, I would recommend considering entry into casual Heroic guilds. These guilds are known for their warm and welcoming atmosphere, as well as their willingness to assist others. Such guilds provide an ideal environment for players seeking a more relaxed and enjoyable gameplay experience.

Secondly, it is worth acknowledging that WoW has reached a point where Raider. IO has gained considerable significance. Raider. IO serves as a widely relied upon tool, akin to a guiding reference for many players. While it can be valuable in assessing player performance and experience, it is essential to recognize that it does not encompass the entirety of a player’s potential or capabilities.

In light of this, I encourage individuals to contemplate joining casual 8/8 hc guilds. The designation “8/8 hc” signifies the successful completion of all eight bosses in a Heroic difficulty raid. Such guilds have achieved this feat in a more laid-back manner, allowing members to progress and celebrate accomplishments without the pressure commonly associated with more hardcore raiding environments.

In conclusion, the key to a fulfilling WoW experience lies in identifying a guild that aligns with one’s playstyle and objectives. Whether engaging in casual raiding or pursuing more challenging endeavors, the primary focus should be on deriving enjoyment from the game and fostering meaningful connections with fellow players.

May your WoW adventures be both rewarding and enjoyable.

It’s kind of painful, but that is basically what got me started with heroic pugging this season.

  1. Join normal runs until 9/9.
  2. Sign up to some “fresh” heroic runs. Not all care about curve - but they are likely to want a minimum ilvl. 430+ seems to get quick invites whatever your experience.
  3. Most likely you’ll end this run 7/9 and then the raid will disband after a few wipes on Neltharion.
  4. Don’t worry about it. Now you have 7/9, a full vault, and will have less problems joining future raids - including on alts.
  5. With regards to getting to 9/9… that was an issue I never resolved either, but at least I was clearing for my vaults :joy_cat:

That said, this was the start of the season when I didn’t have any other options on the table. Now I know the better answer is google “No Pressure EU” and assuming I’m willing to abide by their code of conduct, I’d join that discord server and sign up to one of the many scheduled raids.
