Hey so when I was little and played wow for the first time this expansion was out. Now that im older and have seen countless of videos of people cheering after beating the lich king and also my personal love for this lore…
Is there any chance I can start levelling from level 1 now, only being able to play 4-7 hrs a day, and still make it to raid with people to get the amazing experience defeating lich king?
Oh yeah, absolutely. With 4+ hours a day, Joyous Journeys 50% xp buff still active, the RDF that comes next reset allowing you to easily jump into dungeons for quests xp and items, you can probably hit 80 in a couple of weeks. And the Lich King will be there for ever, or at least 6 months or more as current top content.
Many people plan to slow down or outright quit after killing him, not to mention many gamer dads that will burn out on heroic modes. And there’s Christmass. If you find some optimal gearing guide and have your head screwed on right, guilds will literally fight over you like 2 months from now.
Both wowhead and icy-veins have very good guides, asking in your class discord is also not a bad idea.
I personally found warcraft tavern very sub-par, but it keeps coming up on top of searches for me for some reason.
I have some serious doubts about whoever writes hunter guides on wowhead, it feels like they’re made for you to pick subpar gear in order to distribute bis pieces to better classes, rather than guiding a hunter player to maximize their own dps. Their talent specs could use some work too, it’s like there were 0 sims used.
Even the “which race is best for hunters” part has wrong information.
What do you mean trash ap mail loot? I’m making an arcane shot build and I need all the spell damage and crit cloth gear for it! Its viable I tell you!
Now that I think about it, most gear competition is from enhancement shamans who don’t really do amazing dps either. Yeah, now I don’t get why those guides are like that at all.
