Ok, so… lately I’ve gotten the WoW bug. Last time I got this, it started in Northrend and ended in Draenor. So I’ve taken a loooooong break. Upon returning, a couple weeks ago, I was faced with an issue. And I’ve searched. But I can’t get to the War Within expansion (even though I bought the Midnight preorder, rn). I can do the “Return to Khaz’Algar” questline from the lorewalking book, but I can’t PHYSICALLY go back there, freely… How in the heck do I go there, as if it were the first time doing it? I am lost as a puppy in the woods, I swear… Any help is appreciated, at this point, I just wanna play the game.
If you give the name and realm of the level 70 character you are trying to get to Khaz’Algar with, we can look up your quest history, which might help.
The lorewalking book leads nowhere. That is outside the game proper.
In fact, taking a Lorewalking questline can phase you out of mainline features in the game.
Maybe you are still in a Lorewalking phase. Go back to Lorewalker Cho and tell him you want OUT of whatever Lorewalking thing you are in, if he offers that option.
Check whether the Dornegal Portal is there for you in Stormwind = it’s in the second corridor that you have to walk straight through into.
The intro quest you need is
andit SHOULD pop up any time you enter Stormwind.

Character is Haellena in… Kazzak, iirc (not this char, same name, but Horde), it’s at 80, but only because of that lorewalking questline. And I still can’t get there directly. I’ll try through there, cause I don’t think I did that quest, yet.

OK, I’ve just checked that character out and here are another couple of quick things to try
- Open your Adventure Guide. Bottom bat, on the right, an Icon that looks like a Red Book. It may have a suggestion, or allow you to take the quest.
- Go to Silithus. If you don’t see a HUGE, sky-high sword sticking out of te world, look for Zidormi, marked by a speech bubble on your map at the north west of Silithus, by Valor’s rest, and ask herto return youto current timeline. This quest might be available

So, from what I found out, the Adventure Guide thing worked, but I had to do some DIGGING through tge Journal to find, not that wuest you specified, but the one before it, “The War Within”. That triggered the quest line. Thank you. Back on track.
