Returning player prep for SL

Hello all and I hope you’re having a mighty fine day/week!

As per the title, I’m going to start playing again soon and mainly to prep for shadowlands but hopefully tidy up some bits from BFA too.

However, at this point I’m worried about investing time into a class that could potentially change going into Shadowlands.

So I guess I’m hoping you lovely people could help ease my troubles. As for info I mainly do mythic+/BG’s

I’m not a massive pusher of keys but would like the ability to push as far as possible for myself.

SPriest caught my eye and I have a good deal of fun on it. However every where I turn people seem to be saying they’re shaping up very bad for SL. Naturally I think this is the class/Spec I connect with most as I’m still drawn to it.

Do any specs function similar to Spriest?
I looked at Druids, mostly balance and watched some gameplay but the new eclipse system sounds a tad…well…boring?

Enhancement/Elemental look great fun and I like the look of the totem system, but I don’t feel overly ‘drawn’ to them.

Warlocks, oddly enough I’ve never touched, though truly I’d ever only play Destro with maybe a smidge of affliction?

Demon Hunters/Warriors/Hunters/rogues/monks I have no real interest in from personal experience anywho.

So yeah if any one could drop some info to ease my woes (which I know is a tall ask given SL is in alpha) I’d greatly appreciate it!

So far I’ve enjoyed SPriest

If anyone tells you anything, they’re wrong.

From even my vague keeping up with Alpha news, Blizzard are still making major changes to classes, and we havem’t even begun to see what the Legendaries will be, which are intended to have major effects. All the streamers in the Alpha are saying the same things, that even they don’t know what changes Blizzard are going to do next.

Sorry, but that’s just the way it is at the moment.
