Returning player

Hi everyone,

Life happened, but after a few years away, my wife and I are back in WoW, diving into War Within over the past few months. A lot has changed since 2015, but we’re having a great time.

That said—what happened to guilds? We’ve been searching for a solid, casual-friendly guild on Twisting Nether, but it feels like a ghost town. We’ve applied to several with 300+ members, yet the two we managed to join had only two people online most of the time—us. We’ve been pending in nine other guilds for over a month now.

Has the community disappeared? Are guilds only for serious end-game players these days? A decade ago, it was easy to find an active guild full of people chatting and grouping up. What’s your experience? Are we doing something wrong?

Looking for advice—and, of course, a fun guild!

Seems like the good old days are gone on retail. I’ve returned also to just check and see. But nothing special… Classic servers still have crazy amount of active and social guilds though

Hey there, we are currently recruiting for our guild, a semi-hardcore guild with a good community. If you’re interested in having a chat about it, contact me and we’ll talk!
