I just got back into the game recently, started playing at MoP and did not played Legion/SL. I’m a huge fan of PvP, especially since Timeless Isle and Ashran World PvP.
I managed to get a 1800 rating in 2v2 on my Horde hunter back in Draenor, wich I was kind of proud of. I even changed server due to the lack of PvP in my previous one (From Archimonde to Ravencrest).
The main point of this topic is, I don’t really know wich spec I’m going to play at 10.2…
I feel very confortable on MM in BG’s as I can freecast and always be 1st as damages, where in unranked arenas I tend to prefer BM because it’s easier to kite with less keybinds (Let’s be realistic). I do some PvE content as BM too, I just keep MM for BG’s but that’s where the fun is for me. I got 1800 rating as a survival back in the day when it was still ranged class.
Also, I’m fully geared blue honnor + Weapon Conquest and Shoulder Conquest, have my 15K honnor ready for 10.2, but should I give SS a try ? Or just wait for being full conquest as next patch with MMR reset ?

BM to begin with, and then when you get used to the keybinds, try MM or SV
best thing to give you an advantage in SS , buy the sockets and enchants and get the World PvP gear its higher ilvl than honor gear
your placement games should go much smoother
if you go BM just focus on CC chaining the healer while your pet is killing a DPS

example ( Trap into a Chim Sting into a pet stun ) if your partner is anything decent they will be helping you land the CC with fears etc
tame tank pet with ms like basilisk example, make macro:
/cast [mod:alt] Obsidian Gladiator’s Emblem
/cast [mod:alt]Fortitude of the Bear
/cast [mod:alt] Exhilaration
use undead cunning pet with ms when you need to have freedom to give for your healer againt root beam when enemy has chicken, you can tame one from king’s rest named reban or use petopia to get one of the skeleton ones from bfa, the undead is so its not ccd with abilities that are limited to humanoid/beast

use this site to find the pet you want for ms example from different pet schools, you can tame a hippo for this example and use it in shuffles to have the beefy heal + ms like showed on the macro
and dont be afraid to use tank pet with ms in shuffle as most of the times its more value than cunning school ones and you really dont need the freedom as much as you need healing during cc chains on your healer so its good to have wa for healer cc and have awareness what is happening to him so you use your abilities like that big heal macro when you see his being ccd and then you save your turtle for later than use early as its more value later in the game when dampen would harm your healing abilities so you rather heal early and turtle later on this order
