Returning to entrance of Eternal Palace

so I go have a few days off work and happen to be around when some friends go on an alt raid and get invited to come along. we clear a few bosses in Eternal Palace and along the way I note some battle pets and decide to come back for them later

after the raid I attempt to backtrack and… nope. no way up. so I get myself killed… respawn too far in still. hearthstone out, fly back to entrance… still put back too far inside

so just how exactly are we expected to get those pets? insist on making an entire raid wait for a few pet battlers before going further? insist the raid not kill beyond the point of no return?

You could ya’know, speak to people. “Hey I really want to capture these pets, it’ll take me 2 minutes, I hope thats ok”

I could have but I’d assumed that there’d be a way to return to them later, after the raid had finished so that it wouldn’t inconvenience anyone
besides, it can take a lot more than 2 minutes to catch a rare version of a battle pet

Just do it on LFR, on one will even notice you are not dpsing.
