Returning to wow

Hey,

I’m trying to return!

I quit the game the first few days of dragonflight, but im interested in playing again. I’ve logged in and massively overwhelmed with all the changes, new UI, key binds all gone, a lot has changed.

Any tips / advice on where I should start? I did a few quests when i logged in and before I started the dragon exp zones I was already level 66.

Any advice is appreciated

Wecome back!

There haven’t really been large changes since the start of Dragonflight, apart from the introduction of Dragonriding/Skyriding, at least when we compare it to people coming back from Mists or Wrath, who really do have a lot of changes to get their head around.

Did you used to use addons for your UI, and now don’t have them? That’s the first thing I think of when I read your post. Do you need to look for addons?

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/search?page=1&pageSize=20&sortBy=relevancy

will get you the current list of available addons.

There is also now the option to use a “One-Button” rotation, simplifying gameplay massively.

Levelling speed just keeps increasing.

I would suggest just plugging on to 70 and starting The War Within, and catching up with the new patch’s gear.

If there is anything more specific you wantto ask, please do!

thank you for the reply!

Addons and UI i can work with over time, I did play since vanilla release so I’m fairly familiar with most things.

Its only the leveling path, should i just follow the dragonflight campaign and ignore the side quests?

Should i fully complete the zones before leveling my alts also? or is there a quick catch up quest line?

It really doesn’t matter. If you are already 66, you will be 70 so soon that completing the Dragonflight campaign is out of the question. Completing the Dragonflight campaign alone would get you all the way from level 10 to level 70,soyou are only talking about a relatively few quests to get from 66-70.

Again, you absolutely will hit 70 long before you finish any zone at all, so the question is kind of moot.
