Hi Guys, right now we lost the possibilities to have changes for hunter this week, so I am proposing some new changes for the next reset.
Regarding Hunter melee, we can agree that the spec was too strong but is also extremely RNG, so I 'd propose a change to Flanking Strike rune:
Flanking strike: You and your pet deal simultaneous instant 100% melee damage. Afterward, your Mongoose Bite and Raptor Strike deal 10% increased damage for 10 sec, stacking up to 3 times. Raptor Strike reduces the cooldown on Flanking Strike by 8 seconds.
This way we could keep the three stacks always active, and we could keep the nerfs we received to dual weild specialization, granting a true sense to the rotation trying to keep the buff always UP!
Kill Command: Give the command to kill, the pet deals a damage equals to 200% of its Attack power. Each 10 focus point spent by the pet, the cooldown of the spell is reduced by X secs.
We can agree that Kill Command is a BM Rune, and scales well with ranged BM ( which is pretty lacking in DPS ), the new feature helps to mitigate the difference between wind serpents and cats, so more focus is spent faster the CD will decrease. Of course flanking strike should be better for melee than Kill Command. Now the question could be if the kill command should be like in Cataclysm where the pet charges too towards the target, or the pet just hits if already in melee.
Steady Shot: A steady shot that causes 60% ranged weapon damage. Cast time is the same of attack speed.
Steady shot, which is born in TBC time, had the swing time of the ranged weapons already pretty close to 3 secs, while in classic most of the weapons can be really really fast. I find no shame in being still and casting perfectly steady shot auto shot in this way.
The faster the weapon like gurubashi arena bow the faster you shoot but faster you lose mana for example, but you can the rotation with other spells like chimaera shot, actually chimaera shot and steady shot don’t fit too well, and this would work well for future Runes and systems.
