Dear Blizzard,
It’s been two month into expansion and I am quitting the game. Here are 2 main reasons why.
- Well, it all started when you blocked any Russian account from purchasing War Within expansion. After war started back in 2022 players from Russia are unable to purchase anything officially from your store. So we have to use resellers to purchase game time. So we were also unable to purchase War Within for rus accounts.
Were Russians banned from playing WoW? No. Russian servers are still working. So Russians can play, but to purchase War Within we can either make a new account in Kazahstan (losing all the progress on the main account), or purchase WW Collectors Edition at a price of 300$ - 650$ from resellers. So in Russia I can buy a PS5 or War Within at the same price. Okey, I purchased War Within Collectors Edition. Fine. But here comes the second part.
- My main char is Mage. It is back from Burning Crusade. And I want to play it. I dont want 100500 altchars to think every season who I need to play. I like mages.
I was excited when you introduced hero classes and I thought that after DF mages would see some good changes. And they did! Sunfury Arcane was good with excellent damage in the top 3 specs in the whole game right where it should be (yeah, mage is only a dps machine, no tank or heal spec). And then 11.0.5 comes. Even before it was live you decreased our dmg with additional patch. Thank you! (no). My mage is 625 (628 now) and it has lost 200-300kk overall dps. Pals, Shams, DK, Wars, Rogues are all ahead of us. I have 2600+ RIO and I am unable to find a party for the 10th key. You know why? One pal told me. He said, “Mages are garbage now, sorry, bro”.
So it means I spent 650$ to be unable to play the game with the class I wanted. I dont care about your dev teams and “protests” against mages. Rethink the changes on mages or you can go and funk yourself, because you wont get any money from me ever.

I agree with Blizzard here. They imposed sanctions on Russia, and not for nothing. Because you and people like you are waging a war of occupation in Ukraine. You have already killed more than 100,000 people in my country, most of them civilians.
It’s too bad that Blizzard can’t ban you completely, and you can play WOW through Kazakhstan.
But it is very good that Blizzard understands that the Russians are fascists who commit genocide, and regardless of their own financial losses, they fight evil in your face.

Oh, you wanna talk politics on a WoW forum. Well, okey. Here are some points for you to consider:
- Blizzard didn’t ban rus players not because they cant, but because they dont want to. I can still play the game on my ru account. Business doesnt care about conflict in Eastern Europe.
- They really can ban rus players. Just turn rus servers off. Thats all. I also never heard of Ukranian servers. So blame Blizzard for not supporting Ukraine. But they dont care.
- How many people did your goverment spared since 2014 in the eastern part of Ukraine till the start of the war? Go find out more about the history of your country. And once again… no one cares about conflict on a wow forum. Find some other place to speak about it.
- I have a lot of friends in Ukraine. Some of them play with me in the game. And you know what? we just play together without escalating the conflict like you just did. So stop talking trash you do not understand about fascism, genocide and etc. Because here no one cares, its a wow forum, not European Council or whatever you are “promised” to join in some 50 years.

Once upon a time in Germany, the Germans justified their crimes against the Jews just like you. That everyone around is to blame, just not them 
But the war will come to you too, maybe our drone will fly into your window, or we will meet abroad, or at your home. No one knows the future.
The fact is one - Russians are etched in here, you are now synonymous with lepers. Even in the game you have a lot of problems due to sanctions.

Man, I am not buying it. You do not know how Germans or I justify crimes. It’s called speculation. Stop talking matters you do not understand.
You exaggerate the significance of this conflict. It doesn’t work that way. Majority of americans, for example, will not find your country on the world map.
It’s a wow forum. Go whine some more and try to pursue Blizzard to ban me, because I am Russian. You know what? You cant, because no one cares.
Well, come on, tell me, a resident of Gorlovka, why you came to kill us in 2014, and how you and a couple of the best European countries that were your guarantors of the ceasefire turned out to be liars.

The fact that this thread isn’t locked or deleted due to unnneccessary political discussion in a game forum only amplifies the fact the NO ONE from blizzard is actually reading mage forums. so we write stuff in this forum essentially for nothing lol

Our feedback was always pipe mail going into the ocean. Since Microsoft took over they don’t even pretend to listen anymore. Just complete radio silence, which enables them to pull things like the Brutosaur during the worst patch ever and nobody having to show their face to justify themselves.
