Let’s face it, the level squish achieved literally NOTHING.
Not only did it achieve nothing, It also broke many aspects of the game such as previous content scaling.
while we’re at it, get rid of general level scaling.
Wouldn’t it be nice if, IN A ROLEPLAYING GAME, you could get stronger and feel like you were making progress.
Hey everyone, play another RPG a while, and then realise how dumb this system is.
we can still easily have chromie time. there’s no reason we couldn’t have that with a level 130 max level. just scale those areas to grant levels at an increased rate and then restore the zones to their original levelling pace as what they were originally.
I agree that this needs tweaking a bit…but, I would not remove it.
I’m not sure how the technicalities work for general zones in the current content. For example, I do not mind The Maw being noticeably harder than Ardenweald…however, I’m not sure if it’s my imagination but the elites in one of the Night Fae WQs, do not seem to be getting easier to stomp, as my ilvl increases.
In fact I had the sneaking suspicion last night, that they seemed slightly stronger…so, not sure if that is an uneven scaling hiccup, or like I said, just my imagination.
Funny how people first now becomes aware of the negative sides of the level squish. I have argued against it as long as it was known until it actually happened with the 9.0.1 patch, but no one cared.
probably because people were not playing bfa anymore or were too busy in the shadowlands after that to notice how the leveling in the older expansions goes
Yeah i know what you mean
I cabnot put my finger on why i enjoy leveling this druid more than streamline retail chairs.
But the character getting stronger and many beatuful wow zones and wow characters from wc3 like:
Common, Shorty
ON OUR WAY!
And wow races, their capitals, their goofy brilliant animations around gives me a wow vibes to sooth my mind from time to time.
Logging retail and feeling like its a private server with fanfic lore and etc feels bad… feels alien
Keeping the collection and gold just in case, but no desire to do daily weekly repeatable farming for new collection until positive changes.
I mean if you meant every zone having its own unique leveling bracket, then I guess I can try and get on board with that now that looms are dead. But the level squish feels so good although leveling as a process still bares alot of problems with classes like lack-luster abilities etc.
You only get scaled down to the zone if you opt in via a party function iirc so if you want to be boosted by someone who dwarfs your zone’s level then you can, no?
the mobs will boost to max level though, right?
so… I’m not sure what the max level is for all azeroth zones… but whatever level that is, once you are past that level, all the azeroth zones will have mobs of that max level.
right?
that’s not optional, is it?
the whole point of that was so that you could stay in one zone and complete the story without out levelling it.
now we have chromie time to give us that experience of levelling through zones at a good pace etc.
so do you think you would be happy with chromie time providing what you enjoy, whilst non chromie time is how it used to be? i.e. enemies don’t scale. i.e you can out level them if you want.
