I have this suggestion: for people that hit level 60 on Classic Hardcore without dying, give them a really cool reward on their Retail account.
This is a true achievment that may take weeks of grinding with the risk of losing everything at every mob pull, so I think it should deserve some sort of permanent recognition.
It can be anything: a title, a mount, a cool transmog piece or weapon illusion, but I guarantee it will drive up the engagement numbers, especially if it’s a unique and flashy reward and not a recolor.
It also should not be FOMO, as they said Hardcore realms are here to stay as a perpetual “adventure”.
What’s your opinion guys?
There are already so many flashy mounts and transmogs - I doubt any new mount or Tmog will motivate a lot of people. The only mount that would give me motivation to do 60 in HC - AH mount (the big Dino).
If people come to reach 60 hardcore only for the mount and not for the challenge itself, it will create a need for an easy way out.
The same way people pay for 2400 boosts in 3 v 3 for the mount, you will have a demand for bots and boosters to help people get their hardcore mount.
I would rather have a more relaxed and unmaterialistic environment where people come to just relax and not die, for the simple reason of having fun.
No, no, no!
Hardcore should never give ANYTHING in retail. There are people that will want to take the said title/xmog/pet/mount and they will be forced to play hardcore.
If you played WoW for more then a year, you would know they already did this, they gave a mount for people who level a DK through the starting zone IN ANOTHER GAME.
That was an infinitely easier task to do, so why give nothing for this one?
I didn’t mention anything, nobody cares about what toon you got, stop projecting and being salty. All I see is someone begging for attention and virtue signaling “oh look at me I hit 60 and don’t want anything in return etc etc.”
How about they remove every reward from the game going by your logic. Just do everything for fun right?
