Why not reward players on their subscription time with mounts etc. like after 1 year u get this mount and 2 years it’s another mount etc etc. instead of selling these mounts for money? Could do armor sets and all sorts as rewards to be subscribed over the years. Would reward people for their loyalty and encourage subscriptions etc. just a though
They haven’t done that for 20 years and it works… people pay a subscription and have no issue paying for mounts too, so… why change? they don’t have any incentive to do so, their model has worked for years and whenever they had the need to retain players they could gate content and use FOMO tactics and it worked.
Don’t get me wrong, it would great if they did, but kind of late to expect them to be that kind of company.
Don’t you get rewarded mounts and pets for having a 1-year sub?
You get that with a 6 month sub as well.
Trading post, hello?
I don’t know why they don’t (wish they did … 19 new mounts incoming) but I wonder if it would be complicated eg if someone once renews his sub a week late … would it still count? He could’ve been ill, he could’ve just forgotten. I think logistically it would be a nightmare.
Why would they do that for ‘free’ when enough players will buy the mount from the store anyway?
i should receive a brutosaur since im here since 2006. i wanna my brutosaur now!
Red. thanks.
^^ This
There are rewards
How much do you get for 20 years…
The trading post is basically that. Each month you sub (and log in) you get tenders to buy rewards.
You get 500 tenders which can be used to buy mounts just for having an active sub in a given month, 590 more for having a small amount of activity.
If you can commit to 6 months or a year and pay upfront you get another mount every 6 months (january - july)
You’re literally describing the trading post??? Are you ok there lil bro?
In the wise words of someone who we all look up to
“If you’re a broke boi, just say so.”
with the amount off subs that blizz are losing since start of tww it might be a good idea, wow is already p2w also…
but that would be an admittance from them that the game fkn blows and they will never do it, they rather be greedy little goblins and let it die while giving us less for more, like overwatch.
Nothing new for a new expansion, to lose subs within 1-2 months. There’s always a peak. Do provide supportive evidence that it’s much more than usual.
Saying something doesn’t make it true. Do show what super-duper item we can buy with cash that we can otherwise not get via in-game methods.
This is well said, people just don’t realise what they already get and why…
You already get mount when you subscribe to game for 6 months or 12 months subscription .
you dont know the definition of pay 2 win
go check trone and liberty THAT is pay 2 win game.
not wow. especially with locked mythic boe gear
im going to play path of exile soon so bye bye wow, and cause i did all +10 keys for portals and hc raid
need kill zekvir, get some xmogs and im gucci.
its not like someone hold u hostage to play wow. even wow dev ion said that wow shouldnt be your only game u play
The best reward would be to get rid of subscription time.
Alternatively, reduce the subscription cost the longer you’ve been subscribed. Played WoW for 10 years? Pay 10% less for your monthly subscription.
Eh, it’s like pissing into the wind to even entertain anything like this. Blizzard wants all the money in the world, and their loyal fans are their best way of getting it.
Blizzard don’t really have an incentive to take less of our money.
And players can’t really rattle the saber. We don’t threaten to quit the game because it’s expensive, but because it sucks.
WoW players aren’t very critical about the pricing of the game.
No, that means they would need to put features into the F2P game shop then. I like your reduced subscription idea tho, but at the same time, the price didn’t really increase versus inflation either so hmm.
They wouldn’t put anything in there that they aren’t going to put in there eventually anyway.
And pigs still can’t fly either.
This is about as resourceful as kids sitting in their room and plannig what toys they will pick when their parents let them have whatever they want from the local toy store – which is never.
