the auto slows should at least be worse than manually applied slows. no reason why hamstring is melee range, 50% slow and costs rage but crippling poison is auto applied, can be applied from range and slows much more.
Likewise, dont quote people to derail thread then only to try make some personal insults. Technically its an arena forum or like its used for talk of pvp in general. The assumption and bare minimum for people posting should be that they atleast play the game
If you are speaking of random battlegrounds or in general there are both battlegrounds and general sections to be found from this forum.
Correct, but people have agreed to use it to talk about shuffle and rated pvp in general, just like the battleground forum somehow has to comprise random BGs, random Epic BGs, brawls, rated blitz and rated BGs.
but again, Alythena, this is off topic, and I doubt blizzard will be adding 5 new forum sections for pvp. The thread is about arms warriors. don’t derail.
Personally i’d like to see them either buff hamstring, let heroic throw apply it, or hit auto applying slows with a nerf in general.
its quite clearly on topic - the thread is about Arms Warriors and its obviously in pvp. everyone in pvp as an arms warrior uses hamstring, as an example. there isn’t really much difference between shuffle, arena, rbg, blitz and random bg arms warrior gameplay. its a fairly simple class. but if you think the thread is off-topic, you can report the threadmaker.

Have nothing to do with the fact that hamstring should be off gcd why u say about mobility and stun lul evry class have those and even better mages for example who can slow by default and same time do dmg and blink away and cc and so on

I personally do not care about arena ratings, it’s just some numbers.i only play arena games and battlegrounds to have the best equipment. i am more of a world PvP player, where you cannot rely on your team to save you. I’ve meet many high rating players and they ended up losing against me when challanged
I also believe to be the 1% is not something that you have to show it rather than someone else to point it out.
For example:
I was inspired by a player from my server named Tagsy. I’ve never seen a better warlock than him/she. Very high rating and very high performance display in duel zones. Every time I was watching this warlock, nobody was able to beat him not even those who play to win nor those who were using dirty tactics.i never managed to win a single duel against this warlock, even when I had cooldown advantages

idk i feel like Hamstring is good where it is, keep in mind sometimes its better to have a on-demand spammable slow than it being baked into some other ability (imagine how many abilities can remove slows nowadays) unless it was auto applied like CONSTANTLY which would be kinda stupid from a gameplay perspective bcuz if everyone can auto spam slows then why are the slows even in the game in the first place? I mean what would be their purpose? Just to exist?
I think Warrior having that small disadvantage in terms of Hamstring requiring GCD/Small resource amount and being melee is perfectly fine and unique the problem is there are so many other classes and specs which have stronger slows that neither require the GCD nor resources to apply ← THAT IS THE ISSUE.
The only spec that should be able to apply slows without much effort should be Frost Mage as it fits the idea of this spec imo. but thats about it. Idk why for example Hunters and Rogues have it so spammable where Rogues literally have no uptime issues like AT ALL and multiple ways to avoid damage and Hunters have the best damage dealing model in the entire game (long range + not a caster). I just dont see it making any sense here
Actually the spec has enough problems. Having in your games high rated arms or top dmg arms it doesn’t automatically mean the spec is good. Those players would be Gods with any given meta spec they are just true mains and loyal to a arms . So my point is arms definitely needs a rework that will modernize it to make the game fun and fair for the player without breaking the balance. Im hella sure most arms players want to be a solid spec for the competitive PvP at higher ratings without being the FOTM .
Im my opinion arms needs a better slow. Generally melee classes have stronger slows than ranged with the exception of frost mage. Warrior generally has 50% slow with GCD . At classic it was perfect at retail wow I don’t find it good .
From classic to modern wow , warrior needs a healer to shine . At TWW our self heals got nerfed making the spec even more dependent to healer. I think its high time to change this. Not making arms an immortal god but sure some good sustain to help the spec fight back a little bit of its own .
Defensive cooldowns. We only have one personal defensive cooldown for all cases. We definitely could have another mitigation or even more a healing cooldown. Rallying cry ain’t actually heal and it’s more use of party antiburst cd , you gain temporarily hp then are lost . Last but not least spell reflect needs its pre SL version. The purpose of the spell is to calculate when an enemy will hit with a certain spell and give it back. At times where casters were casting and the procs, passives and pets were significantly less the modern spell reflect could definitely fit in that version of the game as true display of skill. At retail wow the said ability rarely works for its intended purpose. Mainly it is used for 25% magic dmg mitigation I see a cast pointing at me and I want to reflect, casters keeps casting and my spell reflect was consumed by a proc . How is this skill?
Anyways I don’t want to be a doomer or anything similar but my hopes are for the next expanding already but with great caution. Personally I have lost trust to blizz after the lovely expansion.Keep zugging champs

2004-2006 arms warrior was all about getting the slowest mf weapon imaginable, and sending a crit so big it causes a power shortage.
TBC was probably the only example of “sustain warrior” I can think of, because in both WotLK and Cata, you’re an actual burst monster with sustain.
MoP i don’t recall, and we don’t count WoD as an actual expansion.
Legion Arms was high sustain extremely high burst. And you saying “Never ever had big crits” is just flat out a stupid thing to say given Focused Rage was a thing (you know, the build all about sending MASSIVE MASSIVE big mortal crits)
BFA Arms was massive sustain and massive burst towards the end with Lucid Dream + haste/test of might stacking, and like Rakar mentioned, Shadowlands arms “Not being burst heavy” is again a bit of a silly thing to say lol?

Pressing hamstring in of itself is fine, that’s whatever.
What isn’t fine is that it is on GCD, and even if you land hamstring on a target you’ll still be kited, because out of all the slows in the game, hamstring is by far the worst. Disable on WW is probably the only similar one, but even that has increased range + a root on 2nd cast.
Chains of Ice is a 70% slow with root mechanic, AND ON TOP OF IT they have the disgusting, putrid and buggy Death and Decay 90% slow, 2 grips, knock/slow immunity + a root break.
I’m not even going to mention frost mage with its fifty million blinks instant roots alter times and max range, let alone hunter.
And I want to reiterate once more that no, I do not want warrior to be the most broken disgusting thing ever, but I do want its toolkit to represent the modern version of the game, and to give it qualities that either put it up on par with the others, or actively work to counter them.
Something like Champion’s Spear sounds good on draft, and you’d think it to be the most insane button vs Mages, but the truth is people bug it’s tether now as they did in Shadowlands when it was first introduced. It makes it so unplayable.
