1: Increase reinforcements to 300
2: Add events back
3: Each event lost drops your faction reinforcement by 50 . Each event won gives bonus honor .
4: Battleground is won by either killing enemy boss or team running out of reinforcements
5: Killing enemies depletes reinforcements .
Maybe they could also make a bigger deal out of pushing flags? Like if you are behind the flags that are owned by the enemy faction you are at a disadvantage? Make the summoned heroes stronger etc?
Or just implement a PvP catch up system so that this Ashran turning it into a brawl which is eternal like how it was in WoD and per event you gain 40 conquest, per mage kill grants you 40 conquest and per boss kill gives you 40 conquest + the quest that ask you to kill it, and perhaps rework and add ‘new’ quests for all activities and simply remove it from the epic battleground map pool by replacing it with Strand of Ancients.
Just a suggestion for anyone that works in the PvP department.
It would great to have a way to grind conquest outside of arenas . current random bgs are way too slow for conquest gather .
Problem with eternal Ashran however was that you often got into the same never ending opposite side dominated bg .
You wonna get event conquest , but you cannot , because other side is premade and they have been going at it for the last 8 hours and you keep getting sent into the same instance .
Would be interesting to get the flag capping to be more impactful , but punishing the already losing team , with further debufs would make defense impossible . If anything in normal warfare the attacking team is the one at disadvantage when storming a castle .
I’d say a better choice would be a system like in Arathi basin , where the more flags you control , the faster you win . Like if you control all flags to enemy base , 1 kill will result in x3 reinforcements lost .
just some thoughts . There are probably other ways to make flag capping more impactful .
Oh absolutely! I would personally prefer something more like: you become buffed by your flags up until the center but then the last two flags are similar to the towers in AV where they buff the enemy team. If you take a flag they lose their buffs. The thing is that you shouldn’t be buffed if you move past your team’s flags. So each team has two flags that can buff them, the center one can buff both teams and by taking the enemy teams flags they lose their buffs. I think this would make for a more interesting fight as well because usually one team become roflstomped in the first fight and then have a hard time to regroup.
