Rework Holy/disc pls

Hello,

I think Holy and disc is a little bit outdated. Its just pressing buttons, yes there are some interractions with some passives but its inferior to other class mechanics. For example, disc atonement. Which does heal like an ant compared to fistweaver also you have to cast(in pvp especially). Is there anyone else think like me? Please share your comments.

I don’t think holy or disc needs vast reworks, in a scale of recent ret pala rework. They need better tuning and some core issue fixes.

As for disc, one of the things I would love Blizz to reconsider is how atonement works with our AoE spells. At the moment, they just trigger atonement from only first target they hit. I believe they could easily change it so that atonement triggers from damage done to all targets. AoE spells got soft caps and do reduced dmg on more targets anyway, plus disc AoE is on CD (Squid build, Halo/DStar) or needs to stack up (Rhapsody), so we can’t really spam it anyway.

We can see this approach can work well on Evoker, when they talent into Flame Breath healing, so why not on disc?

Holy and Disc both suffer from the lack the most important tools in M+: either a bres or lust, currently taking a resto or preserver is just so much better because of the utility, as well as the throughput and mobility of those classes.

Holy, while somewhat boring, does well in raids, Disc needs a much better raid performance. In M+ it’s the other way around, holy struggles a lore more and Disc is the better of the two while still being terrible compared to resto, pally, preserver, and possibly shaman.
Disc atonement in particularly is weak atm, both because of the AoE vaedan mentioned, but also because it takes a lot of time and mana to apply atonement (and the 40% conversion just makes me sad) before we even get to heal with it.
