It’s quite triggering having my mailbox spammed with gray items that I decided not to loot, just shoving that trash down my throat and forcing me to deal with it and sell it or just have my mailbox full constantly.
This feature should be reworked into a “loot overflow” tab, where you can filter the unlooted items based on different criteria and decide to keep them or not there.
If you do not want grey trash (= gold), that is a you-problem.
I’m running BWL weekly, and not all my chars have the bag space to handle the loot. So having the Postmaster mail me the loot instead is quite practical. It’s just to mount a vendor mount and find the nearest mailbox.
The only loot I have any issue with is collectables without a vendor price. I have 3/3 learned, but they keeps dropping so I have to keep dragging them out of the bags and type ‘delete’ for every single one.
Yeah it’s the same with pretty much all the old world items. Frozen orbs, tbc reputation items etc. I’m on draenor so there should be enough players. Maybe just goblins controlling the market and undercutting my auctions of those items.
Personally I collect all legacy reagents because my crafters still need them to craft transmogs and collectables, so I haven’t reached the point yet where I am trying to sell them.
Leatrix Plus addon has a feature that will just let you delete it without typing. Would highly recommend that addon for this, and its other awesome features.
It’s not gatekeeping grey items. Gatekeeping grey items would be that they DONT appear in the mail when you don’t loot them because of full bags.
Just loot them, sell/delete them, call it a day.
If specific non-grey items are the problem, I’m sure there are addons you can configure to work like this.
If you do not want grey trash (= gold), that is a you-problem.
This sentence suggests that only the way he himself wants to play the game is right, and any other ways are wrong.
I never suggested to remove the feature, I suggested to change it to work differently such that it would not be intrusive to players who are not interested in it such as myself. For me, managing all the trash in the mailbox is simply just not worth the effort for a little bit of gold.
That is exactly what he is doing though. He is essentially saying that a quality of life feature that does not affect him in a negative way and only affects other players in a positive way should not be put in the game because that is the right and only way to play the game according to him.
tbh i love grey items. its good money on the side. i have an addon which sells everything grey every time i talk to a vendor. makes life so much easier combined with a vendor mount.
And on the other hand, it’s annoying when you open a chest and it bugs out and all of the items in the chest go to your mail box EXCEPT the Gold that you could see before the chest bugged. Less Anima, more Gold please Blizz.
Although I do appreciate your problem. On the other end of the scale I currently have mail boxes full of Epics from old raids, which vendor for so little they’re not really worth the time and effort find the bag space to be able to vendor them.
But I love greys! I will always pick them up when I get them, they usually vendor for a lot.
