Rework the Tmog mechanic 🙏

As a roleplayer myself, I disagree.
Unlocking the possibility to transmog whatever you want grants more options to roleplay because you can actually go with concepts that people have had but could never put there because the tmog system doesn’t allow it (or race/class combinations for that matter).

There are such amazing item pieces bound to just leather or mail that look great for concepts on any class. So down with the restrictions.

Hmmmm…the wierd and wonderfull race/class combo RP issue…I don’t know, I’m not too fond of that concept some RPers are trying to play out…yes, there are some things that can work lore wise, but what some people try to play, and giving them these options with cross class weapons…I don’t know, these restrictions should stay.

Yes, I agree it can be a downgrade for some of us, but releasing this beast is probably the worse option.

Again, not speaking of armor classes, only class weapon restriction should stay, armor class restriction should be removed entirely (besides aforementioned class specific gear)

Don’t, just don’t… Warrior wearing mage armor, Mage wearing Warrior armor? Like srlsy? You want to completely kill the class identification and uniqueness? And because people like you retail looks how it looks nowadays.

I only wish they would finally change that transmog would be added to the item slot, and not to the item, so you wouldn’t have to correct your transmog after changing every single item.

I do agree that certain concepts in RP just don’t belong.
But having more options is never a bad thing, and honestly it opens the door to more and good roleplay. I’m personally fine with keeping the weapon restrictions as this doesn’t hit me at all with the concepts I play out. But yeah 100% to freeing the armor constraints.

Class identity went out of the window when they introduced Sailormoon and other sets that don’t fit. Right now I can already put on robes and what not, so what class Identity are you even referring to at this point?

Just because you can wear some robes on warrior that doesn’t mean the class identity is dead. What do you even mean? Do you know what dressing up for event, occasion or something like that even means? It’s exactly the same with those robes. You’re insane wanting cloth armor to be wearable on plate classes viceversa imo.

Mhm…class identy and armor class are not necesserily intertwined.
Wearing cloth armor as a warrior is not necesserily away from the class.
Look at the Death Knight starting gear, it is a robe, as a meele fighter.
Shamans meeleing clubs and axes with robes.

:dracthyr_shrug:

Again, why?
You keep insulting me, but you can’t explain why it’s wrong for me to transmog my warrior with robes or other pieces.

Since when saying insane is insulting? I said above why it is wrong…

still don’t see a single argument outside “class identity” which you said isn’t even class identity :dracthyr_shrug:

Drop all armor restrictions.

Outfits ignore them.

Generic npc’s ignore them.

Major lore characters ignore them. Especially Anduin the plate wearing Priest using WC3 Paladin ulti.

Yeah, class identity is a poor argument against removing tmog restrictions. Along with class restrictions for races.

Since classes aren’t really a thing, but rather generalizations of various themes that may or may not align with certain cultural traits.

Like paladin isn’t paladin. For Human, Dwarves and High Elves it’s paladin. For Blood Elves it’s blood knights, Draenei Exharcs, Zandalari prelates and so on…

And for all we know some of these will use other themes and armor types than others. Like Night Elf warriors, or warriors in general are often nearly naked.

If you mog so much you need tokens to pay for your habit, there’s a serious issue. I mog quite a bit and it’s a drop in a bucket, honestly.

every tmog click is 1000gold for me.

Do Blizzard still restrict some mogs obtained during seasonal events? If so, I definitely want that restriction removed, always seemed sad to me that you farmed these outfits and then were restricted on when you could wear them.

People buy tokens because things can be bought with gold. Transmogs can be bought with gold. It’s not rocket science. Can you provide any shred of proof this is not the case ?

That is purely subjective. I would have to complete 2 of the higher value world quests to change one of the mogs I used. I had a mog for each class I played. I have around 40 lvl 70s pre expansion. One token would equal 8 total changes.

Mogs are not the most expensive item in the game. It all adds up. Mogs are way more expensive than they should be.
