Rideable pets

Can’t imagine that it hasn’t been suggested/discussed, but how freaking awesome would it be if there would be a specific set of pets that you can use as mount when tamed.

For example; I have a Saddled Black Worg from Hellfire Ramparts that has a saddle on it, and riding along it with a worg mount is really awesome. but it would be a whole lot more awesome if I just could ride on my pet worg instead.

Ride towards a (group of) mob(s) and simply jump off your pet and attack together with it. By now the WoW engine should’ve advanced enough to make this possible I imagine.

What are your thoughts?

EDIT: I only just now found out that there’s Hati, which can also be used as a mount. but it fades out the pet and spawns a new (mount) Hati instead. so not what I’m accurately looking for but really cool regardless!

That’s not a bad idea though, never thought about it before xD but i guess its about looking awesome engaging an enemy

You can mount up on Hati once you tame him from the BfA follow-up quest chain.

The spirit beast wolf from the Legion BM-artifact weapon.

Ofc it’s not the worg you’re talking about but, it is already in the game, to a degree.

The problem with other pets though, is that none of them are scaled to fit our characters in terms of size. At least not to use as mounts.

There are also hundreds of beasts/pet types who are not suitable for being mounts at all. Simply due to their appearances.

Having said that, I see no issue with them making it so some bears, cats, wolves etc. Could be both tamed as well as being used as mounts.

Would be allot of work for all pets and i can’t imagine a Tauren riding a little Marsuul but perhaps they can a special type of pet that is saddled and can be used as ride-able pet. Like the saddled wolves from Draenor for example.

I mean… they could start small… Like… Only deers cats and wolves at first. I would fit sv theme so damn good… :frowning:
