Take a look at this and tell me how as a warlock of any spec am I supposed to tank these?

As a destro I can’t LOS up here because blizz thought it was a good idea to only let melee classes place their circles wherever they want. So I can’t place a cataclysm, I can’t place a gateway, I can’t use rain of fire and I can’t even use my infernal!!!

What even is this?! And when I get some damage going, they all just bug out and ‘evade’ everything all of a sudden.

Get real, are you honestly suggesting I just jump into the middle of this pack on +9 and face tank them?! my pet dies in 2 shots then I’m next and die before I can even get a new pet summoned or cast off a shadowfury (WHY IS IT STILL A CAST OMG).

If you can’t see the image, I’m talking about those clusters of bug people with armoured scarabs, web-casters, oracle and the big scarab. In this scenario I was on a platform slightly above them which would have been great for lossing but yknow, too many restrictions in this game disallow me from having a fair chance.

Depending on the delve, I skip them, or at least try to. But this is what you need to know:

  • the armored bugs can be pulled individually, even from the middle if the pack. Just pray Bran doesn’t pull the rest.
  • After the armored bugs are dead you can solo pull the bug scarab
  • Last, the oracle will always focus on healing. Focus on burning and interupting the webcasters

I agree with the sentiment here - of Blizzard changing the basic ruleset just to make the content relevant and challenging which is absolute BS.

For example, as a warrior, I can heroic leap up onto the ledges of both platforms in the final room of BRD… but in delves there is always no path… so the warrior is being gimped of using one of it’s iconic abilities and it feels so wrong. It’s like making the queen on a chess board no longer able to move in any direction… to justify a new game mode.

It’s crap like this that puts players off.

Oh yeah, Anub’vir is a pain, try and kill one or two web-casters and then respawn to clean out the rest.

Exactly!! So it doesn’t work for melee either? I had no idea so apologies for the assumptions I’ve made about blizz catering to melee by allowing their path to work. It is infurating having the rules changed up like this because the fun comes from understanding your class well enough to be able to pull of tricks to defeat the objective.

No, blizz has essentially removed the wheels from the race car without saying anything and is expecting the driver to have loads of fun trying to grind around the track in last place on his disc breaks!

BRD was made pre-heroic leap, they probably don’t feel it’s worth the time to stop it happening.

They are entirely optional and just a rare spawn at T8+ delves.

I say rare…even though they manage to appear every second delve.

Gets even more hilarious when you pull them AND Zekvir spawns

They’re supposed to be rare? I literally get a cluster of them in every single delve I do.

So they’re optional then… I thought they were required so I get the bountiful chest. If it’s just gold and valor tokens they can gtfo

Underwater zones are horrible aswell.

Done underkeep yesterday on tier 11, mongo brann run 500km away from me and pulled 6 extra mob 2 times in a row. Also many mobs evade 0-24.

this is the problem. isnt challenge but mobs with a lot of hp and nothin else. i feel you.

No the problem is trying to take them all on. See the solution I posted as second post, that’s how you safely deal with this pack.

The only real hazard is Bran tbh

ah but i know. i do that normally, mine was a general statement… in truth my issue is about absurd enemy HP pool.

I have completely stopped doing the underwater ones. I actually like delves in general but those underwater delves are horrible.
