Ringing deeps is a better zone than hallowfall

for me my fav zones were nerubian zone-isle of dorn, ringing deeps, hallowfall last

Id rank them as

  1. isle of dorn
  2. ringing deeps
  3. azj kahet
  4. hallowfall
  1. Isle of Dorn
  2. Hallowfall
  3. Azj-Kahet
  4. Ringing Deeps

Ringing Deeps could well be WoW’s worst looking zone ever.

My opinion may change, but so far I would rank them:

  1. Hallowfall
  2. Azj-Kahet
  3. Isle of Dorn
  4. Ringing Deeps

Hallowfall is awesome for a number of reasons. The sheer grandiose verticality of the place, the Arathi architecture and the dynamic light/void lighting eminating from the crystal really sell me on the zone. I also think it has some of the best side quests, and I enjoyed the main story in this zone.

Azj-Kahet is just really cool. Again, it has some memorable side quests and characters with the likes of Spindle, Mr. Sunflower and Arak’nai, and it has all of the juicy parts of the main story. The City of Threads is also fantastic, bringing back fond memories of exploring Suramar for the first time in Legion.

Isle of Dorn is a solid zone in all aspects, but doesn’t really excel at anything like the above zones. The quests are pretty good, the aesthetics are pretty good, the layout and size is pretty good, the capital city is pretty good. Everything is just pretty good.

Ringing Deep is an interesting one. This zone has quite a few biomes for it’s size, and each area is memorable. The candle part of the map is my favourite, aesthetically. Then you have the springs, the dark foggy areas with flying beasts, and the mining and Dwarven industrial areas that heavily remind me of Dragon Age: Origins and DA2. It’s a good zone, even if it’s on the small side.

I’m already looking forward to what they come up with for the patch zones. They’ve been on a winning streak with their map design since Zerith Mortis.
