You’re counting the entire achievment from Legion > SL and say “this is how many play”
I had to farm over 15 mythic +7/8/9 dungeons to get a 200 iLvL weapon to PvP.
PvP vendor doesn’t provide all stats, let’s say I want Versa/Mastery, vendor has only Crit/Versa.
???
The number of 2,350,xxx is for SL right now. Yes. So?
No. I am using the achievement tracker to get the percentage of all who play at least one M+ and apply that percentage to the number of those who do at least one M+ to get the overall.
Taking a 3d party website to approximate how many people play the game right now is unrealistic.
It’s a lot more than 3 mil imo. I personally know a couple of people who resubbed to WoW and are happy with the game.
And I had to farm PvP for azerite every season.
PvE vendors never provided all stats either.
Even now I need PvP gear because that’s always gonna have Versa. That’s a pretty bad argument to make
Exactly. You’re using the achievment tracket to get a percentage of ALL players who EVER did a +2 since LEGION even if they QUIT to get how many active players there are now.
I can’t make this any more clear to you then making everything bold.
I told you why this doesn’t matter. The percentage being the same as before is an assumption, yes. It’s a reasonable assumption.
Not going to re-explain for the third time.
You said we don’t have to m+, I’m saying it is still a must to be competitive, unless you have premade glad friends.
And I told you why it does.
See I can say things too
I’m saying the average PvPer doesn’t need to M+ anymore cause of weekly vault & vendors
You said many things. For example, you said that:
“Wanna know something funny? Check the site you linked for all BFA seasons… Rio doesn’t count past 2,350,621.”
Which was not the case, the numbers for BFA seasons are different.
I acknowledged your point. You didn’t acknowledge mine. That’s the difference between us. Anyway, I won’t continue this. Let’s agree to disagree.
90%?

Interesting quote;
Morgan Day: We added Mythic Plus dungeons in Legion almost as like an experiment. We weren’t really sure how it was going to be received by the community. I don’t know exactly, but close to half or over half of the people who are at max level are engaging in the Mythic Plus dungeons.
And I changed that since it put me on the same page no matter which season I checked, that was my bad.
But my point still stands, You’re counting people who also quit the game into the active subscription base so you’re entire argument falls flat.
You even said yourself you count people who quit
Was it elv, DBM or Bigwigs that said they know how many subscribers there are cause of downloads on their addon? You sound like them
They mean engaging every week. The 90% is the percentage of people who did at least one +2 or higher to try it out. A lot didn’t continue / don’t continue.
No contradiction. Yes, M+ is done by about half of the max-players. Regularly, that is. This vibes with other metrics.
Did you guys know WoW has 4 billion active subscribers? I saw that TukUI and ElvUI has 2 billion downloads each, I don’t care if someone deleted the addon, quit playing or downloaded it 10 times each.
Numbers don’t lie.
I think that is total downlowds of accumulated versions without limitations acounted by per id, per account, etc
4 Billion active. I don’t care what anyone says about total accounts, people who quit, uninstalled etc.
I think you vastly overestimate the amount of people that do M+…
I’d say that at most 40% of the population have done M+ so far, There’s a lot of people who never move past match-make content like heroic 5 man’s or LFR.
There’s also everyone who only sits in BG all day.
Interesting, the RIO website also appears to show the SLOWEST runs of all time… There’s lots of keys that are several hours overtime
As someone pointed out already, it is just total from launch. It will be interesting if there is a way to see per week, per day from launch and will actually give a meaningful analysis as what the trend is for M+ for the RIO community users.
Another interesting fact I can see is total number of guild tried raid.
If we count 20 ppl per raid,
Normal: 36723 x 20 = 734460
Heroic: 23634x20 = 472680
Mythic: 3359x20 = 67180
Does this mean only 0.03% players at most are trying mythic raid in general for the RIO community? For players who don’t use RIO, i would expect most will be casual, so the % will drop even more. We also not consider many chars from same account, etc.
Way to go and expect other players just to be the milk cow without any fun in the game
