I didn’t get apathy for the game, I got apathy towards a single trinket. Do not confuse the two - it will lead to some very stupid gameplay change suggestions.
Regarding stunherald mentioned by Aylish - yes, it was interfering with great combat. Mace stun and stunherald were indeed a bad idea because it was messing with the player’s ability to outplay an opponent.
I don’t mind RNG in wow at all there could be few things to obtain stuff like last boss manuscript if you don’t do mythic raiding but you still want that pretty customization cause i did a lot of last boss on multiple characters non dropped
so it would be welcome to have some kind of work towards cosmetic
But i have all gear i wanted so RNG in terms of gear droping is i think completely OK
There is no value in anything. The game is far too bloated to have anything of worth. If i get a drop then I get the item, if I don’t then who cares?
Items should be rare in both drop rate and the amount of equivalent of said item. Having upwards to a thousand mounts for example is not a good thing to have.
This. Literally nothing is of value anymore and the only thing left for players to do is collect. And what is the point of collecting , if you cant complete anything? And if not collecting, what else is there? Treadmill seasonal running to get unremarkable gear that gets obsolete in a few months time?
This is just my point of view but from what I have noticed, a lot of other players resonate with it.
my heart… 4 drops of invincible… Am… I… Where’s that “despair” meme when you need it…
One of my guild mates got invincible on her FIRST FREAKING TRY!!! Started playing late Bfa… Another one is 900+ tries, and has been around since before WoTLK. Those kind of extreme variables shouldn’t exist.
Years ago, Garrosh’s shoulder pads dropped on a non plate character…
You’re missing the point of OP. Nobody says gearing should be easy. Simply advocating for better deterministic gearing systems. If I was full bis week one I’d probably get so bored so quickly. I was lucky this tier got my full tier set in like 2 weeks I think? Nearly full bis, but there’s a bloody trinket that we’ve been so unlucky with as a guild… Happened to us last tier too. It’s those ultra frustrating moments we’re talking about it. You put in the hard work, do the content repeatedly but the game just doesn’t give what you need. This expansion we’re lucky enough there’s no awful systems like dreadful shards of domination…
i got both Invincible and Mimron’s head in a single trip to wolk once but i still failed to get ashes for over a decade despite running 12+ alts to visit our fallen prince
Rng is fine when it’s not time limited.
But I think having some sort of bad luck protection wouldn’t be the worst thing for current content. Add some of the trinkets and weapons at slightly lower ilvl maybe 5 points or so. So when the legit one drops hurray.
As for things like raid mounts etc.
Add more skips. If you collect the full set of armor for that raid tier you can now skip to the last boss through a lil bronze dragon hanging out on the side.
“Take me to the best bits”
Having to sit through Npc rp sucks when you don’t care. Sure it might be emotional to see someone mourn over their dead child. But when it’s run 30+ you’re spamming x on his corpse.
If they did this then I don’t think you need bad luck protection. Maybe make the drop rate a little less lame, but meh.
If the event is time limited, like a seasonal event. Put the rewards in other methods. Haloween candy, those elder coins, stolen christmas gifts or whatever. Instead of having to wait 12 months to try again. Because it’s time limited. And fomo SUUUUUCKS
Aint looking for an echo chamber, and if you would read, a lot agreed anyways.
Those are some great ideas, I even dont mind farming a mount 500 attempts. But anything beyond that, is ridiculous. My best friend in game and irl, is attempting Headless mount since 2009. His achievement is from 2009…thats 14 years of trying every years with countless of alts.
Thats just not ok
It was a mace in tbc that had a chase to stun on AA, double it with Mace mastery which also had a chance to stun on AA if using a mace and you had a… very fun exp in PvP.
