Roar of Sacrifice is extremely weak talent. It doesn’t have any practical use in PvE and extremely niche use in PvP.
This entire talent should be pretty much reworked or entirely removed. It’s a waste of talent point in its current state.
Maybe it could serve like the paladins defensive with 30% dmg reduction, but we only could use it on external targets? That would give hunters a much needed raid utility.
All general talent trees from all classes have talents for pve and pvp in order we can pick the most useful combination for every moment.
RoS may not be the best por pve, but in PVP is a mandatory talent to help you or your healer survive the burst that comes from an Avatar warrior, a True Shot hunter or an AW Paladin.
Please blizz, never change it : ) but if you want to add dmg reduction it will be even more amazing.
I think this talent is more useful in pvp than you think and
PvP players too deserve some of their talents in the general hunter tree.
Although I still feel like it’s little bit undertuned, maybe adding bleed / poison / Dh’s annoying debuffs removing effect could make it more strong overall and less situational.
As for PvE, perhaps it’s worth making it’s a choice node (in current TWW talents it’s not) giving an alternative ability some defensive pve utility not for us, but for all group mates (e.g. for the next 5 seconds, 30% of damage taken by the target will be transferred to your pet)
The way it works now, with Roar of Sacrifice being a choice node with Hunter’s Avoidance is the way it should stay. They’re pretty much mutually exclusive between PvP and PvE.
The problem is that in TWW they moved Roar of Sacrifice to the button of talents tree, while Avoidance Talent is now at almost very top, which is very convenient for pve players and putting that avoidance talent back to the button will limit our talents options and thus will be frowned upon.
Not to mention that Blizzard aren’t doing lightly things like moving the talent from the very top to the very button and vice versa.
They should not nerf Lone Wolf and should convert Roar of Sacrifice to a Blur like defensive for non-pet mm build. We have Lone Wolf class fantasy for years and embraced by many players. What is the point of nerf? Make it more fun, not less.
