Demon Hunter
- Glimpse redesigned (pvp talent): Vengeful Retreat now grants 1 second immunity to all Crowd Control effects. No Longer Reduces all damage taken.
- Cleansed by Flames (pvp talent) has been removed
Demon Hunter design is for high up time with high pressure, however it’s counter to this was it could be punished by being too aggressive due to it’s limited defensive kits. in BFA the slow meta plus the absurd design of Blade Dance allowed them to maintain the pressure throughout the expansion and became extremely overpowered and represented. In modern day wow, Demon Hunter have the same issue now. They are able to maintain the high pressure high uptime but have very little need to utilize the free-roaming mobility to escape damage since they have Blur, Darkness, Glimpse, Reverse, Cleansed by Flame, Rain from Above on top of the double stun, aoe fear, immune imprison and highest overall aoe pressure.
An easily solution is the balance note above which will lower there survivability enough that Demon Hunters will be punished by over-extending whilst still having the active toolkit to maintain that pressure during a synchronized approach.
Rogue
- Shadowy Duel (Pvp talent): has been removed
- Cheat Death now reduces damage taken by 50% down from 85%.
- Veil of Midnight (pvp talent) Redesigned: Cloak of Shadow now grants 100% dodge chance and removes all Physical and Bleed effects from the rogue, but no longer grants magical immunity or removes magical & curse effects.
Rogues are a major issue as they currently have been given an absurd tool kit by the new talent trees which has given them the best of every world. there weaknesses are none existent due to them having multiple buttons to escape damage such as extremely low cd (outlaw) or double Vanish, Evasion, Cloak , Free-roaming mobility in the foam of Hook / Friendly Shadow step, Low CD Sprint on top of the Crowd Control they have. Unlike Demon Hunter, even if you catch them in a Stun they can trinket the first one, cheat death the second and potential have trinket for the 3rd. A simple solution to fix Outlaw and Sub would be the target Cheat Death and Veil of Midnight, making Veil situational and at a cost, and lowering the overall damage reduction of Cheat from 85% to 50% to allow Rogue to die during well placed stuns in a bad position set up by the rogue.
additionally Shadowy Duel has become a major issue in modern day times as it serves as another defensive on top of being able to exclude a person from it’s healer when Sub has the ability to outright solo most specs during it. This reason alone I think Shadowy Duel needs to be pruned for the health of wow.
