Rogue and warriors are unfun

What this really translates into:

“My class used to the best in vanilla. Now it’s just competitive at best.”

Warrior I gladly agree, Rogues are literally just one of the best melee PvP classes there is, and that is with Enhancement shamans in the same tier.

Warriors are literally the only class still playing Vanilla. Warriors are complaining because we’re playing exactly the same way we have for 20 years… Every single class is playing Cata and Warriors are still auto-attacking and pressing ‘Mortal Strike’ every 6 seconds if we’ve managed to appease the Gods to give us 30 rage :smiley:.

Imagine playing a Warrior in PvP right now. We need Rage to attack and we’re hitting so low that we’re required to auto attack 2/3 times before we can press Mortal Strike. God forbid we hit a Paladin, Priest or Mage as they have a Bubble up so we get zero rage XD

Flagellation - Nothing new to press.
Blood Frenzy - Nothing new to press.
Warbringer - Nothing new to press.
Precise Timing - Nothing new to press.
Focused Rage - Nothing new to press.
Blood Surge - Nothing new to press.
Furious Thunder - Nothing new to press.
Consumed by Rage - Nothing new to press.
Frenzied Assault - Nothing new to press.
Endless Rage - Nothing new to press.
Devastate - Nothing new to press.
Single-Minded Fury - Nothing new to press.

Enraged Regeneration - Worse than a bandage, needs to be enraged to use it. Does NOTHING for how we play.
Intervene - Basically just Charge but doesn’t do anything for PvE. Does NOTHING for how we play.
Rallying cry - Decent waste of a GCD at least. So exciting that I can ruin my parse to keep the tank alive for an extra hit. Does NOTHING for how we play.
Victory Rush - Amazing ability made awful by how it procs (Unable to take in PvE due to nothing dying during a boss fight and unable to take in PVP due to it only procing when you get the killing blow).

So we’re left with these 2 abilities that are actually buttons we press to change our 20 year old rotation:

Raging Blow - 80% weapon damage… (Unable to take in PvE due to Flagellation and unable to take in PVP due to Warbringer).
Quick Strike - It hits [80] damage at the cost of 18 rage. Enough said as to why it isn’t taken. If we take this ability we can’t press Slam.

Imagine… IMAGINE playing a Warrior in SoD when we’re pressing the same abilities we have for 20 years when everyone else is enjoying Classic+ and you have the NERVE to say:

Rogues and Warriors have been super weak so far and it’s not good to have melee so far behind others for your PvP events and BGs, especially when there is no arena.

You know warrior bad In retail so I think we should buff them in sod

Play something else then

Don’t main them, alt them

You don’t pay a monthly sub to not have fun

Main them again later when they become fun again

Warrior was good at 1 or 2 things but only under very strict conditions

And at those 1-2 things they were very very good, they took that away and are left with a husk of a class

Many other classes are good at 3-5 things and great at 1 thing atm

So I realised it wasn’t worth it atm

Your wasting your time ,this person argument is “because your class was good at X version of the game it should be bad in Y version of the game”
it’s as ignorant as it gets

Pvp as a warrior is entirely unplayable.

With the insane amount of high dps range and range stuns, you will get stunlocked and insta killed in any group scenario.

At least rogues can go stealth…

at least warriors have mobility, paladins are target dummies.

Paladins have 2x shields with blessing of freedom for mobility.

A paladin is a warrior that can heal.

Its a lot more ok, though all melee are completely screwed in sod

that aint mobility, not a speed increase or positioning tool. druids can still kite rets, shamans, hunters, SP, locks, mages, while being out of range of ret cc. and there’s nothing a ret can do.

Does not matter.

Our “mobility” still means they hit me from 40yards away (with no way of recovering my hp btw).

  • I run away and they follow at same speed (or slow/stun) while killing me
  • I run towards them and die before i get to 25yard range for charge

Its essentially die running away or die trying to get within charge range…

The charge rune is also not active at all times, so most of the time i only have vanilla mobility with Intercept (10 rage 30sec cooldown) as an option.

So i arrive without rage and cannot do anything, get kited, and now i have no charges in a 2-3 second to kill meta

Kinda does but avoiding the truth is probably the best you can do.
Having an actual mobility skill will change ret PvP a lot. Rogues without step are literally food for mages/hunters/druids, Rogue with step can and will kill these classes without much effort, rogue pvp changed because of shadowstep.
Warrior PvP changed too with in combat charge, ret pvp is still the same and worse due to newly added skills that improve mobility for OTHER classes.

Warriors are bad? They were #1 dps at P1 and very respectable at P2. I would agree though that with the tools other classes got they are no longer kings of pvp (again)

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Warriors in P2 are:

  • Nearly unplayable in pvp, you die before you are in charge range
  • Horrible solo pve, even with good gear. Mobs at 43-44 are close to not soloable
  • Mediocre in pve dps assuming you have good gear, WB, consumes, and a group stacked in your favor (consider almost no one plays feral so most likely you have to go without WF)
  • Worst in pve tanking with vanilla threat generation

You can pick any class and they are better at all tasks.

Ontop of this, warriors get 0 fun runes, 0 utility runes, and 0 threat generation runes.
Give me a single reason why a warrior should play sod when vanilla is the same experience, just without the class being horrid.

Play a paladin, then you know how it feels like having 0 mobility.

Casters/Hunters/Shamans have an easy time killing these mobs, Warriors/Rogues/Paladins just struggle.

Still better DPS than Paladin.

Feral/Paladins like to say something.

Paladins are onpar with warrior tanking, are worse ST DPS, completely suck in PvP

sounds like paladin, rets

  • don’t get to choose SoM/Horn/Aegis in PvP, and always opt for DS in chest for DPS
  • have AntiFear (can be dispelled), Avengers Shield (useless against druids/also dispellable), Divine Sac are all in legs, and rets have to opt for Excorist to deal actual DPS
  • got glove runes like Beacon for healers, Hand of Reck for tanks, and thus again rets go for CS to do DPS

Warriors still have it better than Paladins.

If you QQ as paladin, you just have skill issue

Freedom dont give u any mobility, its just temoves slows, snares but its useless anyways. Paladin needs someth8ng thst increases move speed. Divine steed or anything coz class is wheelchar and cant rly move
