hey we are a angry bunch of grumpy middle aged men with a crisis on the rogue community discord and we are very upset over how season of discovery has treaten the rogue class so far.
- shadowstep
i am not sure weither this is a bug or works as intended.
but first of all we have no 20% damage modifier for one ability on shadowstep
It doesn’t work to shadowstep players on ledges.
Shadowstep on global cooldown.
We are very disapointed with this and would like to have our precious shadowstep from tbc 2.4.3 back.
There’s also some weird bug going on if you shadowstep a priest player just as they cast shadowfiend on another player that is nearby to the stealthed rogue.
the rogue gets unstealthed for no reason and even the damage log in game don’t show up why the rogue gets unstealthed as he is taking 0 damage.
secondly.
Combo points.
How it is currently working in vanilla wow as of patch 1.14 is the following.
Your combo points will disapear the moment you target another target.
how we would want it to work is like this.
Whenever you add a combo point to another target, your combo points on previous target is lost.
Reasonings as too why. Currently Rogue is the only class that get punished on resources, by accidentally tab targeting.
We was also hoping that shuriken toss would be a useful rune for cleaving.
but unfortunately it’s worser then just pressing mutilate on 1 target.
It’d be cool if it had 100% chance to proc deadly and instant poison on all 5 target it hit for example.
Redirect.
This is actually one of the things we liked a lot.
however there are some improvements we would like too see on this ability.
- range is very short
- cooldown too long to have a useful usage in pve.
- 15 seconds uptime is too low to be utilized for something cool.
Mutilate being 40 energy.
this is another Really Nice and Woaw amazing change we both love and hate it.
Reasons why we love it, is because it’s busted that mutilate costs 40 energy without even needing a rune for it.
Reasons why we hate it, is because we get the feeling that game developers are forcing us to really go daggers.
Since playing the good old sword weapon style as a rogue which has been a favourite for many years of wow. is just way worser in performance, compared to dagger rogue.
another factor is that some of us rogue players do like outdoor world farming.
we play this game because we find it relaxing slaying monsters over and over.
playing with slower weapons helps riposte damage by a lot.
but now you kind of just feel forced to go daggers since they are just performing so much better.
Angry Grumpy 20 years of rogue experience player has reported what he would like to see improvements on with the rogue class in season of discovery.
