The average WoW player does not want to play rogue:
- it requires more finesse while generally people prefer a more “hero” playstyle - such as what warrior, DK, DH represent
- the animations are not flashy
- how rogues look overrall compared to all other classes
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but if you go to the Rogue forums, always the predominant topics are “Rogue feels bad”, “Does rogue get better at max level?”, “I feel weak as rogue”, “I do the least DPS in dungeons” which are all topics by new players trying the class for the first time. And I don’t mean right now, but always throughout the years.
Rogue may be (and currently is, at least for PVP) the strongest class in the game, and still very few will play it

Because a good chunk, maybe 80% of players in PvP don’t track or understand what a diminishing return is.
Or they track them and understand them but don’t play around them anyway.
And Rogues get their kills primarily when people are stunned. Some classes have a similar dynamic, but none to this extent.
Most classes have stuns on 30 seconds or more, so they don’t realize this, as their stun or stuns are a higher cooldown than the DR is.
Feral, DH and Warrior are the only other classes who can mess up their own stun DRs
I guess technically Demo lock too but that rarely happens

Yeah, overall rogue requires you to be more patient, to track DRs, to not break CC, and most players just want to have easy fun and not care about these things and “smash around”

Most likely one of the stronger in m+, havent seen too many so cant rly set a standard on that. Just seen statistics for raids.
But yea, they arent rly “flashy” and ive tried to play it, but I just dont feel it. I like rogues, I just cant play them for long xd

Yeah, I feel the same way - I can sense the enormous potential, but isn’t for me. I like ranged playstyle better.

Kinda, but think about it. Rogue is so broken that unlike other classes, it can stun and control ppl so regularly, that they have to worry about DR.
And you make it sound as if this advantage is a downside.
No, on the contrary, that’s the irony actually - that nobody plays rogue, therefore blizzard continue to buff it to increase representation, until it’s overpowered out of proportion
