Rogue Outlaw Talent tree & Pace of Play

Rogue Feedback on Dragonflight changes.

Firstly I have played rogue since Vanilla. It has always been my favourite class.

I feel that assassination and sub specs are too boring to discuss. What upsets me are the changes to the combat / outlaw spec and its talent tree.

I was excited to learn that roll the bones was to become an optional talent. great news. However it is slap bang in the middle of the tree and has to be taken to get other desirable talents. Worse than this, if you avoid taking roll the bones it is a huge dps loss whatever other talents you take instead. Both of these factors mean that Roll the bones is not optional. it is basically still compulsory. Please make it optional

Secondly the shear amount of extra button talents is crazy. I appreciate some people love this but I would like to see some more / stronger passive talents as viable options for people like me that would like a few less buttons to press. The constant self buffing combined with the turbo nature of how talent points are gained and spent means i am fixated on my bars rather than the fights. I like the fast nature of the spec but i feel it has been taken too far and would just like the option to take a few less buttons.

Blade flurry, adrenaline rush and killing spree are acceptable staples of the build for me. ( i take killing spree over dread blades just to slow the pace down a bit even if it is a small dps loss. When you also factor in roll the bones and echoing reprimand every 45 seconds i feel almost overwhelmed.

I might have to finally abandon the class and play a warrior or nearly any other melee that doesnt have 30 buttons to press, self buffs every 45 seconds and a combo point generator on steroids. Please give the option in the talent tree for more viable passives.

I find outlaw play pretty much the same u can take a load full of talents but also avoid them BUT
What rly trigger me is the slow energie regeneration this feels so oftuned its creazy

I’m in the exact same spot
I leveled a warrior out of frustration
There are just too many things to manage in the outlaw spec as of now

I have adrenaline rush, rtb, snd, db, echoing reprimand, blade flurry and all the procs to manage, add to this the cd reduction and you have to pay attention to your buffs and cds all the time, I literally never watch the actual fight and only have my eyes sticked to my bars, is this how the game should be played? I don’t like it at all

Just make rtb and snd mandatory, hell, remove snd

For now I’m just switching to a warrior

I think this is quite normal when changes are made, you play a different specc or you get new abilities & mechanics to look out for.

Give it a week or so and I am sure your focus will shift more toward the fight than the action bars

Honestly, roll the bones is not a big deal anymore, it’s just a fun ability at this point, considering how many ways there are of expending and getting more procs.

So it’s not that rng heavy anymore.

I don’t think echoing reprimand is worth it, considering how many talent points you generate, in fact i tested the slice and dice talent vs ruthlessness, and it was only a minor dps loss. That’s just how many cps you generate, and trying to fit echoing reprimand in is basically impossible.

Seal fate is the way to go, and shadow dance i would say.
