The first 2 gear sets of wotlk include increase damage to rupture
Yet no one being assassination spec spends 2 point in increasing damage to rupture and using rupture as part of their rotation.
Why was it included into gear sets if no one uses it?
People didn’t play the game as if it were a math exam back then so the game wasn’t really designed like it. The devs just thought about what would be good and fun while being viable. The beta people would then play around with it, make suggestions and thats the final product. This is the 2nd time around so there isn’t a point to changing any of it so we’re just left with what once was.
You can still try and fit it in to your rotations. Maybe you won’t be topping any lists but you’d have fun.

Yeah, Mage 4T8 is also complete trash for Arcane. Some tier bonuses are just bad, it is what it is. Take it as an incentive to gear with off pieces, there is usually at least one, often more, item that is individually better than tier for each slot.
What a load of tosh, there were sims and gear optimizers and elitist jerks class forums in Wrath. That is the expansion when the proper minmaxing, not just tbc cookie cutter builds, became mainstream.
