I love the roll cancel!
We had it in BFA it really adds to the risk/reward factor and you can style on people!
When they have parry or evasion “on” by rolling behind them and stunning, it felt amazing plus it was a gamble.
O hear me merciful gods, grant me that again!!

No need at all for it to be talented. Just make roll (and chi torpedo) an active buff (like in BFA), which you can cancel.
They didn’t give it back in/during Shadowlands, I very much doubt they give it back in DF.
And let Bliz²ard call it " Inertia Drift " 
I mean, sure - gravity is a beep and I’ve rolled myself many a ledges in my time, but I think that’s also a part of the challenge. Knowing where the roll will take me. If we got a way to cancel rolls, I doubt I’d use it.
